New Wallace and Gromit Episodes Coming Online
chachi5000 noted that CNN is running a story about Aardman releasing Wallace and Gromit Shorts Online. There will be a dozen of the one minute clips featuring the awesome plasticine duo. Also bits about the feature film coming in (sigh) a few years. Anyone who hasn't seen the existing Wallace and Gromit trilogy is missing out. -
Stepping Closer To The Space Elevator
multicsfan writes "This article at Space Daily indicates that one of the major stumbling blocks against the space elevator has a potential solution. What do you make the elevator from? Aardman Animations Releasing New Animations Online
michael writes "Apparently, Aardman Animations, who made the Oscar-winning Wallace and Gromit films will be releasing their latest work over the Web rather than through cinemas or television. They also mention that the company 'will encourage viewers to distribute the animated films by e-mail.' " It'll be using the new character, Angry Kid, who will /not/ be at all like Wallace and Gromit. May 7 is the first release date. -
Spielberg to Direct Wallace and Gromit?
ost writes "There was a recent article in an Austrian newsapaper saying that Wallace and Gromit Creator, Nick Park, signed a deal for four movies with Steven Spielberg's Company DreamWorks. But the main thing i want to point out is that if Wallace and Gromit are to go to Hollywood, that poor penguin that was the villian in "The Wrong Trousers" has to be re-sozialized!" The article is in German - head over to the Tower of babel fish to get the skinny. I do enjoy Spielberg equaling Play mountain in the Fish - makes the translation all worth it!
