American Anime Localization Company Tries Torrents
zalas writes "AnimeOnDVD reports that David Williams of ADV Films is testing out using BitTorrent as a distribution method. Currently, he has a promotional video of Madlax, one of their titles, up for download via a torrent and has "much larger plans in mind." He is looking for feedback regarding this and can be left on the AnimeOnDVD Forums. ADV Films licenses Japanese animation from Japanese studios for distribution in North America and the UK." -
Evangelion Live Action Movie
Rob Sollanych writes "ADV Films has just announced the production of a live action movie based on many people's favourite anime series of all time, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Special Effects will be developed by Weta Workshop, Ltd, the company that made the Lord of the Rings look so good." -
Robotech On DVD, Ghost in the Shell 2

On a side note, the original Japanese version, Macross, is being brought to us by the wonderful folks at Animeigo." ReBoot Comes To DVD (3rd Season)

If you've never seen ReBoot ... well ... I'm sorry. The canonical episode (Talent Night from the second season) is available on VHS."
