Re:Not a Coup?
Too much money going around in lobbying and special interest groups
...The primary "special interest group" behind American support for the coup, is AIPAC. Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Morsi was pro-Hamas. Support for Hamas ended with the coup, and AIPAC has threatened retribution against any politician that tries to cut off the billions of American tax dollars flowing to the new military dictatorship.
Morsi was a terrible leader, and deserved to be removed from office. But the way to do that in a democracy is to hold a recall election, not by sending soldiers into the street. As an American, I am very ashamed of what my country is doing.

Re:Bullshit
The Palestinian problem is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1948_Palestinian_exodus. Simply put Muslims evacuated war zones during the conflict between Jewish Palestinians reinforced with European migrants and the neighbouring Arabic countries. After the conflict was over. Muslim Palestinians who fled the war zone were not allowed to return.
So the Jewish Palestinians and the European immigrants found all these empty properties, homes, businesses, apartments and decided, well you just can't leave them empty and the original owners have all just 'er' disappeared, so let's create a law and give them to the immigrants, ohh look, complete with furnishings and appliances. Those disappeared people of course were stranded at the border and specifically banned from returning.
Hence the state created from theft, Israel and sixty years of conflict, with the Israelis continuing to try to steal the rest of Palestine. The mind boggling double speak of US politicians claiming Palestine is not real while Israel is, well, money can pay for anything to come out of a US politicians mouth.
Basically religious and ethnic apartheid to deny people the opportunity to recover their property and govern the whole of their country. Now the bullshit theft was accepted by the west not because of religion but solely because of the cold war. The pirate state of Israel was pro west and the surrounding Arabic states were pro-soviet union. The only reason the US continues to blindly support the Pirate state of Israel is because of an advanced Israeli Mossad intelligence operation that has corrupted US politics in their favour via campaign contributions and a political attack and propaganda campaign run out of AIPAC http://www.aipac.org/. Which of course leaves the US looking like idiots with Israel running a self funding intelligence operation that extracts billions out of the US treasury for absolutely nothing in return but getting sucked into fighting Israel's wars for it and spending billions even trillions more.
Now the Pirate State of Israel has lost support in most of the rest of the west because their intelligence campaign was largely targeted at the US and as such has pretty much collapsed elsewhere. The US was also the last country to have apartheid South Africa hanging around their neck largely again because of the flow of campaign dollars.

Re:Odd
Really? Why does Israel have the "loudest voice"?
In the US of A we have the AIPAC, Fox News (and their right wing nut listeners who thin we cannot have peace with Iran), and all of the Evangelical Christian nutjobs who think that any threat to Israel threatens their ability to get into Heaven or some such mythological nonsense.
That's why they have the loudest voice.
Here in the US of A, I have never heard the Saudi's (or any other Arab) voice against Iran. The only time I see anything is in foreign published sources like the Economist. Of course, here in the US of A, most of us think that Iranians are Arabs and Persians make rugs and breed cats.

Re:WTF ISRAEL?
We're not talking about lobbying. We're talking about PR.
PR is an integral part of lobbying. This is especially true for AIPAC but also for other groups like the NRA, AARP and ACLU.
As far as I'm concerned it's fairly irrelevant that AIPAC is a powerful lobbying group because the group they lobby against can't stop shooting themselves in the foot.
I don't know where you get your information from and I'm not saying your unjustified in your opinion but I believe that many people think that Palestinians are "shooting themselves in the foot" *because* pro-Israel lobbying groups are there to work the media while the Palestinian side of the story goes largely untold.

Not really surprising.
Speaking as an American, I can't say I'm very surprised. For all our talk of 'war on terror' and Israel's experience with terrorism, I find it amusing how a nation founded by terrorists, terrorist organizations, and terrorist acts receives such unflinching support from the US. I pray that someday somebody in Washington will have the guts to review our foreign policy and aid towards Israel and see that Israel is more of a liability than an asset to our relations with other Middle-Eastern countries. In short, Washington needs to tell AIPAC to fuck off.

Re:The end of the (non-)religious right?By that same token the Germans and Japanese should still be angry over their defeat at the hads of the allies. It is a similar time period we're talking about.
Totally different culture there. Germans today deeply regret Nazism, and Japan wised up. Your "Feudalism" theory doesn't make sense, please elaborate because I don't understand what you mean.
Israel? Do you really want to open up a can of worms here? Fine, but I warn you, this will be lengthy.
But a bunch of farmers with a hodge-podge of weapons were too much for the surrounding muslim pussies to even imagine tolerating. So they attack the recently declared state. And predictably loose. Now Israel is this great evil because they've defended themselves and bought land from people who sold it to them.
You're reading this from the Zionist view? Did you know that the Jewish settlers carried out terrorism against the Palestinian people who were already there? David Ben-Gurion, the first prime minister of Israel, actually had a wanted poster with his name on it, for terrorism and attacks against the Arabs, in his effort to push for a "Jewish state." Israel didn't buy Palestinian land, instead it was stolen when people fled their homes during the war, and weren't allowed to return. There are eyewitness accounts of Israeli soldiers driving them out, killing a few even. I'm not going to get into blame, my point is that the Palestinians were driven out, not voluntarily as your post alleged. Israel demolished some homes, moved Jewish immigrants into others. The Palestinians are understandably upset, they don't get their homes back and don't get an apology or compensation either. This isn't like ancestors losing land, but people who are still living. This could evolve into a giant rant, but I'll cap it off here.
The arabs lost and blame the US for their own weaknessesReally? Who has ever publicly blamed the US for Egypt losing the six-day war? Who has blamed the US for Israel's refusing to make peace? I recall Clinton leading a peace accord with Netanyahu and Arafat, both shaking hands. I've only heard criticism for the US' current support of Israel, not for "Arab weakness".
The only reason Israel has US support is because the muslims murder civilians specifically.
I think you are blind. You didn't know about AIPAC giving MILLIONS in campaign contributions? That every candidate for decades has sided with Israel to court the Jewish and evangelical votes? If that as you said is the sole reason, then why does nearly the entire UN condemn some Israeli military actions? Why does the UN complain that Israel is in violation of refugee laws? The UN has condemned terrorism on both sides.
Fuck the Muslims. Give them a taste of their own morality. It's ok to kill me because you don't like me, fuck you, eat hot thermonuclear death. Reciprocity is a bitch. Clearly if civilian populations are fair game, the civilian Muslims populations are NO exception.
Sheesh, you really have to strawman the issue here, don't you? First off, Islam does NOT condone murder, ok? Second, don't say Muslims when you only mean Arabs/Palestinians, of which I am neither. It's completely forbidden to murder anyone or attack civillians. The terrorist attacks have received worldwide condemnation from scholars, Imams, Mullahs, Maulanas, Muftis, Sheikhs, you name it. Terrorism is completely against Islam, are we clear on that? I am a Muslim, and I will help you hunt down any scum that kills children. It's not as easy as you think, Terrorists, Baathists, and the Taliban don't exactly walk around in broad daylight, despite what you think.
I'll never forget the CNN foot

Re:USA bad, venezuela good
Actually, the government is owned by the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Compared to them, the oil companies are nobodies.
