Re:hey!
Actually, I bought a power supply from here:
http://www.ax-man.com/
It's some long skinny thing, and puts out something like 800 watts. The peltiers I was using only drew about 40 watts each, and there were 12 of them. So I had plenty of power to spare. I originally bought it to build a cable lighting system in my apartment using a bunch of 50W low voltage halogens, but I could never the sockets I needed to plug the lights into and cannibalized it for another project. :) -

Ax-Man! (Minnesota)
If you're from Minnesota, you've gotta go to Ax-Man. It used to be a complete mess that required a LOT of digging around to find gold, but they've cleaned it up in recent years. I used to go there to buy stepper motors, solar panels and light sensors to build little robots from scratch. They always have the wackiest stuff - I recall dentist's chairs, 60 year old computers, ceramic hands used in molding latex gloves, gas masks, electronics parts of every shape and size, pulleys, doll heads, fuzzy christmas present tags from the 50's... The signs hanging about are a riot. Serious amounts of teddy ruxpins to be hacked. I recommend the St. Paul location!

Re:Lets not go overboard...I don't know if there is anything particularly special about Sunon fans over other brands, but I do know that Panasonic's Panaflo line of fans, particularly the 80L1A, manage to consume less power and pump more air than any other fans, decibel for decibel. It has something to do with their *cough* patented bearing technology.
Some specialty cooling shops carry most/all of their lightweight plastic line, and you can probably find a bunch of the heavy duty aluminum ones at surplus stores like Ax-Man in the Twin Cities area. Ooh, I love that place.
