    seeing if I can find a better deal for stuff on Amazon.com when I get sticker shock at CompUSA

    How do you do that? Amazon US's mobile interface isn't WAP, but HDML, which my phone (Siemens M46) doesn't support. I looked around a bit, and couldn't find a WAP inteface, so I ended up throwing together a quickie PHP script that queries Amazon's XML interface and returns the results as WAP/WML.

    I soaked one in acetone, and it's all warped and cloudy now. I was hoping it would actually dissolve the polycarbonate and leave just the lacquer and aluminum, but acetone only softens the stuff.

    Sure they are... it's very faint, but if you zoom in on it, you'll see a smudge there. I ran the pdf through Ghostscript's pdf2ps, then extracted the uncompressed image to make a PNG. Run it through... The GIMP, and out comes this.

    Looks like the original picture has been JPEGged in the process of turning it into a PDF--I bet it'd be even clearer in the original.

    No, you didn't. How 'bout you pony up some evidence... Here is what I get when I right-click on Terminal using a Logitech optical wheel mouse (well, maybe I do have a right mouse button after all :). Show me your menu.
