Because it does not fit his narrative. That narrative is holding the contradictory idea that all differences between the holders of penises and vaginas are social constructs. Yet a woman who prefers the sort of activities that more men prefer, of men who prefer activities that more women prefer cannot exist.

There is no doubt that supporting a bill that engenders employment specifically based on the sexual organs of the beneficiary is sexist. But even more, they are now demanding that men lose their jobs and be replaced by women. This is not only bigoted sexism writ large, but it is exposing their true aims. shilly asked for a cite - here's one.

Anyhow, there is no chance of you changing shilly's mind. It is the mind of a person consumed by hatred of men, the exact same form of hatred expressed by White supremacists. Only the narrative is one of female supremacists. Shilly's faith and hatred is strong and unshakable - it allows s/he to hold the idea that a worldview based on genital judgement is not sexist. That person will cherry pick what you write with the fervor of a dlobal warming denialist, and try to make it look like you are being inconsistent.

Psychology ran in a major hiccup, as many of it's experiments are no longer reproducible not because of bad 'science' but because they are considered naughty and not something that should really be done to people to test out psychological theories, as in http://www.bps.org.uk/what-we-do/ethics-standards/ethics-standards (I used British standards rather than US ones, as the US ones have so badly been mauled by the US government and their fully medically and psychological researched mass torture facility at GITMO that the US ones are rules that 'should be' broken as defined by the US government) and http://mentalfloss.com/article/52787/10-famous-psychological-experiments-could-never-happen-today.

There was a story doing the rounds a couple of years ago about a (small, local) study which found that 9-month old infants displayed gender-specific preferences when playing with toys, i.e. girls tended to play with "girl" toys, boys with "boy" toys, with the suggestion that this could be due to innate rather than cultural factors.

This is possibly the case, but I wonder how well the researchers actually controlled for other factors which could influence the outcome. Unfortunately, I can only find journalistic write-ups of this study, and not any actual paper, even when searching the proceedings of the conference where this was supposedly presented.
