Re:Satellite Internet
I didn't realize it was north of the southern tip of Greenland.
Greenland Is Farther East, West, North, And South Than Iceland. Greenland-v-Iceland
I guess that is the problem with orthogonal coordinate systems, your maximums and minimums can play tricks on you with regards to the relation between objects.
Rotate the map 45 degrees and the overlap disappears. -
Re:Bullshit
Boo Hoo. You had to wait to vote.
Yeah. Holding elections on a Tuesday when most people have to work seems so uniquely retarded. It increases the likelihood of queues by ensuring most people try to vote at the time: either early in the morning before work, or late in the day after work as they cannot take enough time away during their workday, even more so if they have a long commute. Sure having to wait three hours if you're jobless or "financially independent" may seem to be ok, but if you're a cashier at a supermarket your boss is not going to let you arrive three hours late with the excuse of long lines at the polling booth. But then maybe you're fine with denying other people their right to vote.

Everybody here is wrong.
The "New California" would be as overwhelmingly liberal/Democratic as the "old" one.
For one thing, those undocumented workers keep a lot of those family farms and shops in business.

Re: All in blue (or about to be blue) state shitho
No doubt the set of white people willing to live and work in an urban environment where there are brown people is self-selected to skew blue. But having a much higher concentration of non-white voters who skew blue doesn't hurt either. I can't vouch for the accuracy of this map, but, if accurate, then the only city in Texas where the whites voted Blue was Austin. Dallas and Houston, then, which went to Clinton, must have done so because of the brown vote.

Re:All french everywhere
Of course he (and you) is (are) not right. E.g. it is "official language" in Mallorca, or the Baleares (but their native language is Mallorcine
... wtf how is that spelled?)
But let me emphasize: The catalan region in spain is actually worse and nobody in the planet outside them speaks their language.
What is actually worse about it? Nothing ... Catalonia is not radically inventing new Catalonian words. So most likely he mixed up Catalonia with Basque ... but not important as regardless what he meant, both claims would be wrong.
E.g. Catalan is spoken in France, too. But if you you want to refine "region" obviously the frech part of "Catalonia" would belong to "the region", too.
There are other regions, even countries, albeit all in Europe, where Catalan is spoken, too: http://brilliantmaps.com/catal...Anyway, what is your suggestion? Or your parents? Remove the language from the list of spoken languages on the planet? For what purpose? If you look sharply you will find: Catalonian is spoken by more people than e.g. Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish
... would like to purge those languages as well? For what purpose?Reminds me about a friend of mine, 15 years ago, her daughter was like 14 and she told me: "Hannah is learning Spanish now. She wants to study in Barcelona." As she was talented she was allowed to join the university with 16. I pointed out: well, they don't speak spanish there. They speak Catalan. They did not believe me. So she came back with 18 never having attended a course in the university

Re:Just wait for carbon taxes
Wait a minute...we're having the wrong argument. Tariffs don't work. These countries will just harm themselves by cutting themselves off from the benefits of free trade. The whole thing is a non-starter.
And if for some reason the plan works, the world will cheer as the US bully is taken down a notch. God knows we deserve it. The US government is wholly evil without a doubt. Invades countries for oil. Kills civilians. A murderous and blood-thirsty nation. Who has invaded the most countries? Who has broken the most international laws? http://brilliantmaps.com/threa...

Horse shit!
The US had two choices for President. One of those with the D in front of their name was propped up by a corrupt Democratic party, and media outlets like the biased gossip rag sourced in TFA. WaPo, as with NYT, NBC, CNN, and countless other media outlets (sorry, I refuse to call them "news" since they aren't) stated flat out that they were going to "destroy Trump". That campaign started right after he was announced as the R candidate. Now source all of the "leaks", media coverage, and talking points of the DNC and it becomes clear that those same media outlets are simply a mouthpiece for the entrenched elitists in the D party.
The candidate that the D party put up was a corrupt politician, and we have known about their corruption since the 90s (if not sooner). Unless you want to say that she was a puppet for Russia since then, any claim of Russian meddling in her loss fails basic scrutiny.
That said, the R party has some similar problems with entrenched and questionable office holders. Trumps biggest selling points are A) he's not a well known connected (re. corrupted) politician. B) he talked about some well known problems and said he would fix them. One of which is exactly political corruption. (so did Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, but they _were_ politicians and demonstrated dishonesty).
Enough people in enough areas voted Trump for him to win. Look at the map for pity sake! I have yet to see anything that demonstrates Trump as a bad President, I hear hyperbole and fabricated narratives by the same corrupt media I mentioned at the start. I see biased opinion polls about his approval ratings, which amazingly seem to match the "Hillary is gonna win" polls which showed how great she was and how bad he was.
Long story short, I don't believe the majority of media any longer. WaPo has less credibility than CNN who has less credibility than the Pravda at this point.
