And for Political "balance"
Check the CJR's Campaign Desk. It's a little like FactCheck.org, but focusing on journalistic hoo-ha rather than politician's hoo-ha. And they've been decrying "balance" where none exists throughout the campaign.

Re:My favorites -- DailyHowler, TheNote & ...I keep up to date on talkingpointsmemo and andrewsullivan.com, but before I ever heard of them I was reading dailyhowler.com. And I still do. I've written more than a few letters to the editor based on dailyhowler.
One other page to check out is campaigndesk. . It isn't exactly a blog, but it's got excellent media criticism (and even occasional praise). It's put out by the Columbia School of Journalism.
Finally, and this one's in no way a blog, ABC News' TheNote summarizes and links a lot of political reporting every day. TheNote has much more praise than criticism, but during the political season it's part of my essential daily reading.

My favorites
Oh, it's hard to narrow it down to a small list.
The previously mentioned Talking Points Memo is quite good.

Review of reviews
campaigndesk.org
The Columbia School of Journalism set up a blog dedicated to review the quality of the political coverage done by various news adgencies.
They are taking news outlets to task for keeping alive misconceptions that are readily debunked by some elementary fact-checking.
The Campaign Desk doubles as an effective source of news because ecause their tip-of-hat section keeps links to the best news articles available. They are also very good at documenting their sources, and at keeping ahead of the spin and the echo chamber that permeates most of the news sphere.

Accurately BiasedI have found the following political web sites to be the most accurate:
The Columbia Journalism Review Campaign Desk
The Center for American Progress
Talking Points Memo by Josh Marshall

Re:Keep it up ass hats!
Wesley "I was a Republican until I decided to run for President" Clark
He voted for Clinton, voted for Gore, is pushing one of the most progressive tax plans in US History, and wasn't in support of the war (don't believe everything Drudge tells you/)
How is he republican again? Oh wait... You're spewing cheap empty rhetoric. YOU must be a republican.
