    You can only think of a few movies released on VCD?

    Practically all Hong Kong cinema can be had in any Chinatown on VCD for peanuts, and most major movies get released in the format.

    Personally I was severely tempted by the Star Wars trilogy on VCD available here, along with things like X-Men, Gladiator and so on.

    Forget DVD and the pigs (read, MPAA) who support it - get your anime on VCD here and here!

    Actually, if you like regular movies, I have had good luck with this place...

    Why have we forgotten about VCD's (which can be easily made on today's hardware for little money as well)?

    I have been converting a few of my DVD's to VCDs for the past 2 months.
    I can only watch VCD's on my laptop. Home theater system is DVD/VHS. (DVD player plays VCDs also...)
    Only problem is it takes 2 days to rip/convert a DVD to VCD. So I own the same movie on 3 formats, VHS,DVD and VCD...
