not quite accurate...
And with its full 35mm CMOS it is the first camera to effectively reproduce the image quality of 35mm film.
Nope, maybe the first to have a 35mm sensor. But, there have been a number of cameras out with medium format sensors for quote a while now. Even at 6mp, a medium format sensor will outperform a smaller sensor with a higher pixel count because there will be MUCH less bleeding of light across pixels.
Check out the products from Creo such as the Aptus or the much larger MP Valeo family. -
Re:pros and digital
Already here - it's called the Leaf/Valeo (and yes, that is an iPAQ hanging off the side). It uses a 10GB CF magazine anyway, whether it's actually a RAID or not I've not been able to ascertain.

Re:digital film?If you have a Leica R8 or R9 you can buy the LEICA DIGITAL-MODUL-R
I think there was a company that was planning to release a digital adapter that would replace a 35mm cartridge. I don't think this product went beyond the vaporware stage. Perhaps someone else on slashdot has a better memory than I do and can remember more details about this proposed product.
If you have a large format camera, you may want to look at digital backs from Leaf.
As much as I'd love to be able to drop a digital film replacement into any camera in my 35mm camera collection, I don't think this will happen any time soon. I'm currently debating the merits of shelling out big bucks for a digital SLR with a true 24mm by 36mm CCD or buying an Olympus E-1. Then again, I could pay the bills and the mortgage.

Six Degrees
Six Degrees by Creo is another attempt to do this same sort of thing, except that it's commercial and it's been available for Mac OS X and Windows for several months.

Re:Why is the info in PDF format?PDF isn't about cross platform, it is about the ability to print anywhere; from a Windows box to a inkjet printer, an Apple box to an HP proofing printer, even from a Creo/Windows 2000 Workstation to litho plates to the press, it will always be the same size, position and close to the same color (nothing can match a press and a trained crew for high quality).
And as said in before, There are plenty of PDF readers for Unix/Linux like this one

Brisque
Something tells me it ain't cheap, but this is swell and runs on Unix. My company had a loaner on an older RS6000 running AIX.
