Re:Time Management?
That is what I have done with my Cybiko. I basically use it to keep track of school projects and homework--it has an application to keep track of homework, and for projects I just keep notes on what's due when and who I'm working with in a text file.
I don't really think they're useless, because having your notes or assignments neatly listed and organized prevents slip-ups that can happen if a paper gets lost. Also, Cybiko, just like Handspring's devices, has an offline email-synchronizer. When I had group projects in math, I would take notes in the meetings and jot down things, and email them to the entire group when I got home. Also, it saved time because we could all get each other's names, phone numbers, and AIM sn's in one email instead of jotting them down.

Re:Cybiko
Before you damn the Cybiko completely, keep in mind that it contained some SWEET concepts...sure, the games and address-book part sucks...but am I the only one who starts drooling when they casually mention the Cybiko's local P2P networking abilities?! Sure, the Cybiko sucks by itself...but think of the hacks you could do with something like this...hell, even if you couldn't, the concept is still great. It's the implementation that's flawed.
Heh. If anyone doesn't want their Cybiko, I'll be more than happy to take it off their hands.
In my spare time, I'm actually working on building a Cybiko-like gadget that'll do a lot of the wireless networking it does...right now it's 68k-based, but that's just so I can nail down my shaky computer engineering concepts (I almost flunked Computer Architecture class) and figure out how to fabricate this thing. ;) I've worked out a flash-ROM memory and a memory-mapped parallel interface so far, and have fabricated a few boards, although I still have been nailing down bugs and am really just doing this for fun.
Kids' PDA makers are trying things that adult PDA makers never would attempt, just because kids have lower expectations of a computer and won't care if something only works half the time, as long as they can play with it. It may be crummy from our viewpoint at present, but this is where some great pioneer work gets done.
Teenagers, by contrast, hate things that aren't perfect....dude, try playing with it...hacking it...taking it apart. Your life w/ a Cybiko will take a turn for the happier.

Isn't this the point of the Cybiko?

This device was released a few years ago and it is basically a PDA for the younger generation. They go for about $100 CDN here ($65 USD). -
Cybiko Xtreme
This was already done, and is already on the market. It's targeted at school kids. http://www.CybikoXtreme.com/. They have "Wireless Local Virtual Networks". As long as they're within x feet of each other (I believe 300 feet), they can talk. They can relay for each other too, so if you had a school full of school kids with them, they'd all be able to share files, as long as someone made the 300' connection...
It looked very entertaining, but wasn't quite what I need in a business environment. It's only like $99 at Target.. -
depends on your range...
How about a Cybiko Xtreme? If you need more range (you'd want to talk to her while at home or something) I'd say go for a Blackberry. Unless you're getting the keyboard for the Palm, I'd guess that using the Blackberry would be quicker and easier.

Dreamcast and Cybiko
You just can't beat the Dreamcast for a cheap machine to hook up to your TV or stereo and do cool stuff with. The Cybiko has all sorts of wireless Gnutellaish potential. If you are looking for a machine that will be otherwise usefull, all the latest cell phones support J2ME, which could be used to build any number of cool things.
