Re:West? Hammil? Van Dyke?
The school's run out of the Universal Studios, Florida theme park, so likely they have Hollywood connections not available to regular colleges. Note that one of the earlier student projects was based upon Ghostbusters, which is a Universal property.

Re:Legos? From the About the Film page:
Earlier this year we were inspired by Spite Your Face's brilliant stop-motion LEGO epic Spiderman: The Legend of Doc, The art direction of Batman: New Times is also based on a popular toy line. Keeping with the "TOY" theme The DAVE School Students have built a vibrant 3D world out of computer generated Lego blocks. Every set, every prop and every character has been precisely modeled according to strict scale specifications. Almost every location, vehicle and character has been, or could be, built out of Legos. To research this project and aid in set design The DAVE School purchased over 100 pounds of Lego Blocks from dealers on E-Bay!

CASTING
Working with Los Angels based Voice Director Michael Hack, The DAVE School has assembled an "all star cast" of voice talent to match the high-voltage animation of the December Graduates. TV's original BATMAN -- ADAM WEST -- signed on early to this exciting project. Fans of the original series will recognize his signature style and over-the-top performance. Mr. West is joined by MARK HAMILL, reprising his role as The Joker from Batman: The Animated Series. As a huge fan of the original 1960's BATMAN television series, MARK HAMILL was thrilled to perform his Joker alongside his favorite Batman, Adam West! As Catwoman we cast the talented and charming Courtney Thorne-Smith. She loved the idea of doing something her kids would enjoy.
Dick Van Dyke rounds out our celebrity cast, lending his voice to Commissioner Gordon. For the past few years Dick has enjoyed computer animation as a hobby and most of us in the Lightwave Animation community have met him as various industry gatherings. His appearance at Siggraph 2004 (on behalf of NewTek Inc.) was what led to our consideration of celebrity voices (for Batman: New Times) in the first place!
We've also collected a powerful team of professional voice actors to fill out the roles of our other characters. DAVE School owner Anne Scheetz returns to her broadcasting roots as TV Reporter Fiona Vost, and listen closely for a few DAVE School students who lent their voice talent to this excellent cast.
Student Josh Adams got to play Robin against Adam West! How cool is that? -
Forget the trailer
The movie is already done and it's quite good.
