Arg, mixed copy paste - should have previewed
The link I meant to post for dd-wrt (IMO the best firmware for the WRT, mostly because of Sevasofts treatment of customers)

Re:GOOD!
I used to run sveasoft on my linksys, but after reading more and more about their business practises, I let my account expire, and have now permanently dropped them in favor of the DD-WRT firmware (http://www.dd-wrt.com/).
DD-WRT is just as feature-rich (if not more) than sveasoft, and doesn't play sveasoft's silly games with their firmware source code, the GPL, and banning people on their forums. Sadly I can no longer recommend sveasoft to any of my friends with linksys routers.

Re:Me too
You guys have no clue how cool ipv6 is eh. I recently got a Linksys WRT54Gs (v4) and installed a opensource firmware dd-wrt. Reading up I found out it supports ipv6 -> ipv4. I installed it and got it all working going "oh shit the clients are going to be hard to setup".
Windows: ipv6 install
Linux: modprobe ipv6
Boom ... done ... all my windows and linux machines in the house now have there OWN ipv6 address and it automaticly works and everything. It's crazy plus my tunnel provider he.net gave me 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 (18 Quintillion) IP's to mess around with. Im sorry but I think it's frickin cool. You have to change providers fine ... you hop on there network ... boom you get a brand new ipv6 address.
Got a WRT54Gs and feel like connecting to the 6bone ... read up on my little "howto" @ http://www.solosoft.org/projects/ipv6
It's pretty cool -

A few very important ones you missed:

Re:Easier...Slashdot's own TheIndividual makes Sveasoft firmware widely available for all. Please, don't give the Sveasoft criminals any more money.
DD-WRT is most likely a much better choice; the new R23 will blow away Sveasoft's crap.

Re:Overpriced
I've also heard a fair few comments that say the same. TheIndividual seems to get a lot of stick in particular
:-

No surprise really, as he's re-distributing their "product", but the fact of the matter is that if they're selling/distributing GPLed works to the public then they *must* give back by providing the source (of the modifications), which they don't seem to want to do, hence the whole subscription "beta" thing that they use as a workaround to not distribute it publically. Given that someone can take the source and just fork it/give it straight away for free, it's obviously not in Sveasoft's interests to give it out, and they appear to be heavy-handed in their enforcements: DMCA takedowns? When you're building upon others' hard work? Hmmmm, hardly seems in keeping with the whole open-source ethic to me.
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html
I don't claim to be an expert on the GPL, but from my interpretation of it, and the above linked FAQ, it seems to me that what they're doing is somewhat dubious at best, and non-GPL-compliant at worst. I guess it's a tricky one when you're trying to make money from open-source; in Sveasoft's case I think they've taken the wrong approach, but hey, that's their call. If you like their product and it fits your needs, and you don't think they're doing anything wrong with regards to the GPL (or just don't care), then go for it - my brother's got a sub with them and he's happy enough. As with the parent, though, I'm afraid I wouldn't touch it myself.
