Re:New tabs are great
No, there's a config option to change it, it's different on one platform or something. You could have googled for "firefox close tab middle click" and found about a zillion hits including http://tlog.dehumanizer.com/2006/07/28/firefox-ti
p -closing-tabs-with-middle-click-on-linux/ which says (to avoid cratering them if a lot of people somehow still don't know this) open about:config, then search for middlemouse.contentLoadURL and change it to False. Simple as that. -

Re:So what's new
From my experience, the 1.5 betas are at least as stable, if not more stable, than the 1.0.x versions.
I've been using only 1.5b1 since it was out (and 1.5b2 since today), and they've been great - stable, visibly faster, and (few people talk about this one, but I love it) you can reorder open tabs by dragging them. :) -

Re:Adsense
If you read Darren Rowse's (the $400k guy)'s blog, he's brutally honest about what he does. It's not just a "hobby", he works 8 hours a day or more, every day. And it's not just one blog, it's 10 or more. And he's been doing it for 3 years. In fact, he has written entries warning people not to quit their jobs, and not to create the illusion that "I can write a couple of entries a day and get rich! RICH!!".
And it's true, for every guy who makes real money with his blog (or most likely blogS), there are thousands who just make enough to pay for the domain and web hosting (and, therefore, have to keep their normal jobs), and many more who simply fail miserably. It's hard work, it takes a lot of your time, and you have to be good at it.
Shameless plug: not that I'm making any money yet, but I have a nice (ah, the modesty...) ongoing Blogging tips series in one of my own blogs. The latter parts include AdSense tips. :) -
Re:Publicity
Not quite. And, see, I didn't even mention Apache.

Re:Mozilla is a disaster waiting to happen
Internet Explorer may be a security joke now, but if Mozilla ever gains any popularity, it'll be an even bigger joke than Internet Explorer. It's a disaster waiting to happen.
Bzzzt. Wrong. -
Re:I'm a Firefox fanboy.
This may be useful to you, then.
