The AJAX replies feature isn't for replying to comments, it's for those links that say "X Replies below your threshold." It makes it so you don't have to load a new page to see those replies. Now we just have to wait for the VCs to come along and dump millions on the poor guy for using the word AJAX. Woohoo! Instead of an image based Turing test like Captcha, I just have the last question on a log in screen or form be a randomly selected super easy question. For example, "Spell the number 7" or "What is the next logical number in the sequence 1, 3, 5, 7,

Artificially Intelligent Messenger
For my senior project in school I modified an IM client written in VB6 to have AI capabilities. It can act as a desktop secretary who gets to know new people that IM you when you're away. It takes notes, keeps contact info on file, and can define words. Check it out here.
