Still on Firefox 8...
Since Firefox has started their crazy version numbering, I've given up on upgrading. I use 27 different addons and perfectly configured to make my web browser do what I want. It is near impossible to do an upgrade without spending hours reconfiguring the addons, some of which need to be manually downloaded and have their "MaxVersion" incremented so they will install. Maybe in 6 more months when we reach Firefox 50 I'll give it a try, but until then. Firefox 8 all the way!

Re:What does Jetpack get you...
DownloadHelper lets you download and convert almost any online video (not only YT) to MP3 with two clicks, as long as you have ffmpeg with MP3 support installed.

Re:Great, but...
Ah, gotcha. The one I mentioned, DownloadHelper, works with any flash object on any web page, whether it's a movie, game, audio file, or anything else. You can download the object as an
.flv, and I believe the program supports on-the-fly conversion to just about anything imaginable as well.Give it a look, awesome stuff.

Re:HTML5 for the win? Sorry, that's not a codec.+ ability to download videos (i'm on a slow gprs and not being able to download them makes it almost impossible to watch);
The downloadhelper plugin will fix that for you.

Re:Eyes wide shut
Not sure if this works in linux

It's basically automating what you just said, it says it works in linux, but you know how that goes.

Re:Irrelevant
So I'd just look up a song, loop an audio cable from my output to input, and receive the audio in audacity as I play the song in youtube.
Look up Download Helper. It works for every porn site I know too. That alone should be reason enough to have it installed.
;)By the way: YouTube sound quality if far away from acceptable. I usually just click my self-made "Submit as query to mldonkey" button, and then download the thing there. Of course, with Windows and IE, you (including me in earlier days) do not even start imagining such possibilities.

Re:Squid.
The only time I don't preview my posts is the only time they need to be corrected. Here is the Link to downloadhelper:

Re:Great
If the browser understands it, it should also be able to extract the URL. Actually, even today there are browser extensions which do that.
