    SimpleFace is all right, i guess.. but we want to sound more 22nd-century. and normal words are friendly, maybe, but shouldn't we try to sound more futuralist ? like ModuleCon, or GrafxEaz or Uz-Whiz?

    What's that? You don't want my help anymore.. fine, I'll just go back to my video game project, Mutton Kombat: Gamma ;)

    hi. i'm plugging my php-based forum system, too. unfortunately, my server's down due to ISP wackiness right now, but when it comes back up, check out the Fojar Communication System. it's incredibly quick to set up, comes with _tonnes_ of examples, is pretty flexible in how you arrange comments (it'd be an ideal replacement for things like zdnet's tlakback..), and it's got a nifty admin tool.

    While it's true that THE AUTHORS haven't been updating their page as regularly as they used to, there have still been semiregular updates of the strip for the year or so I've been following it.

    There has, however, been a major restructuring of the site, including moving archives and images to seperate servers under the .yellow5.com domain, and the addition of an ad banner, about which I'm ambivalent. While I think THE AUTHORS deserve to be rewarded for their hard work, it's annoying to have to look at animated banners, even on pages you support (so everyone buy shirts).

    Also, several new Pokey-related projects are in the works:
    New POKEY SHIRTS! A POKEY COMPUTER GAME, called Mutton Kombat. Unfortunately, being developed only for Mac at the current time, but ports are under discussion.

    If you're up to it, check out some of my personal favorites:

    I'd love to take over the project, but I've got a handful of my own (not counting "finding a job" ;) ):

    First and foremost, The Mutton Kombat Project. To even get started on this, I'm working on an as-yet-unreleased game for Linus/SVGALib; as a way to build my luaC svgalib bindings. Interesting stuff... I just wish I was getting paid for it!!

    Glad to hear that at least _someone_ cares about making computers more functional, not just more complicated.

    Actually, the Winchip was an all-purpose X86 chip that gives decent performance for its cost. And it runs incredibly cool - you don't even really need a fan (I use one just to be extra-safe) ...

    Winchips have found a home in the I-Opener, as some others have mentioned, but also in the hearts of those of us who'd otherwise buy Cyrix (another decent brand if you're willing to trade performance for money...)

    It's a Winchip that's currently powering fojar, hatelife, and yellow5.

    I would be more interested in a site that generated actual domains names that don't appear in any dictionary, such as fojar.com and grack.com - they aren't words, and they aren't combinations of words. :)
