    Not that I really rely on predictions but this one seems to be no brainer. Linux is indeed going to increase it's share of Home PC.

    It is hard to imagine that it will become successful without a search feature. The 100K limit is sure to put a damper on binary trades. Actually if people went back to the old days of splitting the file into uuencoded parts they could get around it - but who'd want to.

    I like the present situation. I use an RPM (or try to find one) for software that I won't tinker with much. For other's that I might want to customize, I prefer a tarball. Too many choices of course would become a headache.
