Re:Throw out the Republicans
Um, murder rate means how many murders per 100,000 people, not the total number of murders. If you don't believe me, maybe you'll believe Fox News.

Re:Twitter is pro-Free Speech ? REALLY ??
Don't forget that leftwingers are burning down Milwaukee because a black cop shot an armed and dangerous criminal.
Shall we take your word for it? Shall we just condemn the left and think no more about it? Or is it that there is more to the story? Perhaps there are some who are looting under cover of a protest for their own gain, with no political agenda. And perhaps there are a few wayward souls with nothing but resentment and anger, and the despair of having nothing else to express?
If so, that should tell you how badly the police, the city government, the county government, and the state government, have lost the trust and respect of the public in large segments of Milwaukee.
The Paris mob that stormed the Bastille attacked it as much for their resentment of the French government as anything else, when they stormed it, a mere seven prisoners were found within, and the majority of them were forgers, two others being insane and the last a sexual offender whose own family wanted him there.
Hardly a fortress full of misery and oppression.
Even the vaunted Boston Tea Party was the destruction of a load of tea from a private party, over a not particularly despicable tax, and the Boston Massacre? Resulted in the acquittal of the threatened soldiers.
Of course, you COULD read the stories about the folks cleaning up the mess, the ones who called for calm, who have worked tirelessly to improve the lot of those around them, and you could attribute them to the left. But you'd rather not. Especially since all of that would mean you'd have to face the mistreatment that is in the city and state. Much easier to just demonize and shut your ears, isn't it?
Why maybe you should just riot yourself. Is that not what you want? For the left, and their icky racial minority friends who don't embrace your wisdom and beneficence, to be suppressed and broken, until in their suffering, they come to realize how right you are, for your might is beyond them? Or is there something else?

Re:Yeah - not at all an advert.
I think what bothers me the most is how there is no mention of any competing platform that has had this feature for, say, 2 years now at least?
Well, that's because Android users are never in any danger and thus don't need to call an ambulance ever. Because Google keeps them safe with all they know about them.
Welch used his phone's "OK Google" feature to search heart attack symptoms.
"I touched a link and up came a list of symptoms. I was realizing that I had all of these symptoms," Welch said.
So with Siri you call an ambulance, and with Google you search for the symptoms of a heart attack. Minor difference there.

Re:My prediction....
"There have been 103 homicides in Milwaukee so far this year [August 27], compared with 86 homicides during all of 2014. Thursday, Chief Ed Flynn said he blamed Wisconsin's concealed carry law for some of the violence."
"we heard 'bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. We turn around, and 150 feet from where I was standing, a 15-year-old had just murdered a 15-year-old with a
.40-caliber pistol. I had 60 cops there," Flynn said." -
Re:In a Self-Driving Future---
This is so true. I do a lot of driving and do not know how many times I have come across road crews that closed a lane down for something. Sometimes there is another lane in the same direction and it is just a matter of merging but sometimes you have to go into oncoming traffic lanes while they stop and meter the flow. Also, we still hear reports of people driving into lakes or on to parks and pedestrian paths because their GPS said to turn here or had to recalculate.
And I also agree with the ABS. I was unfortunate enough to have one of those early cars and I had to pull the fuse to the ABS unit if it was slick at all out. I live in a northern area which means quite a bit of winter snow and ice as well as grit and sand at intersections to remedy the snow and ice. When you would brake, if one tire slipped or the sensors were dirty or something and it just thought it slipped just a little, it would increase your stopping distance by about 15-30 foot. Imagine your dismay when approaching an intersection and the car's computer causes you to stop on the other side of it after appearing to being able to stop before the intersection. And good luck parking, it could actually allow you to roll past your space and into some obstacle like another parked car or a cement parking block or wall or iron pipes filled with concrete to stop people from driving further or something because it would release your brakes to regain traction even at 3mph if it thought one tire was slipping.
The ABS systems are much better now. But at one time, you were better off without it at all if you knew how to drive in slick conditions. The early versions basically pumped your brakes for you, the newer versions can do it per wheel and just enough to remedy the slipping on the affected wheel(s).

Perhaps the new head will care about false swears
On the application it talks about how false declarations can get you charged Federally. Alas, the "new normal" seems to be 'that was the least untruthful thing I could have said', so frauds and suspected frauds are allowed to skate. Perhaps the new head will actually care about applications that one can suspect are fraudulent.
The email address in this application used to be used by her Father who has a bit of a tax problem.
The application has a checkbox for 'if you are a lawyer' and that is unchecked. Comparing her record with the State Bar shows a different email address.
