AGREE: OpenContent License
I've used them for all my arcade articles. And you know what? When another site stole my material, they stood 100% behind me. (Not referring to the E10k review that was on Slashdot. I'm talking about my arcade game parts primer material.
And, of course, as the person above said, you can print a book, too. I recommend this license. You can go to their page and check out the terms to see if they are to your liking. -

Home Page vs Start Page
I think a lot of people really neglect the usefulness of their home page, in that they can make it into a really quality Start Page for themselves, in addition to the typical home page information for others.
Here is a temporary link to my home page. Some of the functions aren't working. My ISP got hosed.
The top section has the stuff that I want others to see and use. Nothing too special. The box on the right is filler material (that displays a funny movie when working correctly). The left hand side is all the different links I usually go to in an average week.
That's right. Instead of using bookmarks, this comes up as my home page, and I can easily select my favorite destinations that I use on a regular basis. (And, at the same time, endorse them for others to use.)
Bottom left is some articles I wrote (mostly on Segfault, which is currently down).
I think the idea though is that people should customize a page that they use, if not just for themselves, which contains all the links they commonly use. It really makes surfing through your favorites easier. (And marking something as a "real" favorite versus a bookmark, which could be anything.) -
Re:An obvious development, back in March!
Yup. For example, this page I created about the Sega Titan arcade motherboard. Guess what? It is a slightly souped up Sega Saturn.

Re:the collectors are assholes, forget 'em
Sorry you had that experience, and I want to thank you for your efforts. I have set up this page on your behalf.

I have created a FAQ just to answer that question.
How to Buy an Arcade Game gives you a good start on purchasing an arcade game. I wrote the FAQ because I got so tired of answering people's questions in my mailbox about how to get ahold of one, or how to find one. There's a lot more to it, and I'm currently writing a book (MS Word format, sorry) all about collecting classic arcade games.

You absolutely are, given that your business plan appears to be to steal other peoples' reviews.
People have long memories, you know.

Re:If crypto is outlawed...
Interesting opinion. Now Chris, did you steal that from another webpage, or was that your own opinion?

Conclusive evidence that AD is right
This is one of the funnest threads I've followed in
/. for a long time. Doing a Google search on AtariDatacenter's real email string comes up with enough postings on geek topics that it seems highly credile that the owner of that email could have written the review. The best data point is this resume.
Doing the same thing for "Chris Chabot", the supposed author of the Review Board article does turn up a couple of semi-sophisticated computer related hits (needs help compiling a kernel), but in these cases Chris has a Review Board email address! ---> chabotc@reviewboard.com
I very much doubt that the review board is running a Sun E10K.
It seems pretty damn certain that the Review Board plagarized these articles. Since "redir" was also the original submitter and a strident attacker of AD, I would give fat odds, that he is "Chris Chabot" or at least a buddy of his.
But you got to hand it to the guy. Redir is a great handle for someone who redirects content from one site to another. -
WHAT THE **HELL**. PLEASE MOD THIS UP.This was an opinion I wrote on Epinions in the middle of the night. In fact, it was my first review for the site. You can read my review HERE.. Now read THEIR ARTICLE. Their nearly 100% identical. Paragraphs have been outright stolen.
All the sudden, this ends up as a review with a different author at another web site? What the HELL is going on? If you have questions, please EMAIL ME. jmccorm@galstar.com
This REALLY PISSES ME OFF! MY article pre-dates theirs. Hell, I should know. I wrote it in the middle of the night. And I don't see any date on their publication. I'm assuming it was published today or yesterday. I demand credit for my work. Hell, this is worth an article.
