Re:General question...I am still waiting for israel to spend tens of millions of dollars doing something nice for us.
I don't suppose the computer you used to write that message contained Intel chips? You may find Israel's contribution to that was pretty "nice". Don't get me started on pharmaceuticals and other research Israel has done of direct benefit to the US. They are hardly lying there accepting handouts like much of the Arab world whose last significant contribution to science was hundreds of years ago in the form of algebra (and on behalf of students everywhere, gee thanks a lot for that!)
And speaking of nice, have a read of this amongst other articles that suggest Israel has done PLENTY for the free world.

Re:Nice title. Really objective.
I was a Fool to be a Human Shield for Saddam
Of course, you'll claim "right wing nonsense, all made up", while sitting there reading common drams like its a man page, however, feel free to Take your pick of news stories. -
Re:How could this work?

Re:Scarythe problem is also, that there is little or no evidence against Saddam.
Little evidence??? I've never seen such willful blindness. I don't know if it's worth my time to counter this. How have you missed all of Bush's speeches, Blair's dossier of declassified intelligence, the numerous denunciations of Saddam by the U.N., and lots of other information coming out from nations around the world? When evidence against Saddam is presented to you guys, it's like putting an eye chart in front of a pack of moles.
Look, Saddam murders his own family members to prove his ruthlessness to potential dissendents. A close advisor once joked to Saddam that he step down from the "presidency." No smiles from Saddam. That guy's gone. And his family.
Saddam's goal is to be worshipped by his subjects. (Yes, subjects, not citizens.) The latest election is proof of this. Some voters pricked their fingers to mark their selection with blood. (In Old Testament-based religion, the shedding of blood signifies the making of a covenant.) He commands an awful lot of power. Saddam even manipulates the U.S. media. Btw, can anybody provide a link to a transcript or summary of any of the Iraqi election debates? I somehow missed them.
There's been lots of news that Saddam is linked to bin Laden and Palestinian terrorists. These guys are a threat to everybody. It is their explicitly stated goal to destroy the United States. As far as they're concerned, a country either converts to their religion or is targeted for destruction. They call us the Great Satan. They want to kill us. There's absolutely no question about it. What part of "We will kill you!" don't you understand?
Maybe pictures will convince you.

Re:Don't.Are you so naïve? There are lots of people who want to murder YOU. Personally! They want to slit YOUR throat just like they did to Daniel Pearl. They don't care what you believe.
I want you to take a HARD LOOK at these pictures . Is this the peace you had in mind? No? Too bad! That's the peace you're going to get if you don't support people who will pick up guns to defend freedom.
This "peace" process of negotiation and diplomacy is killing us! How many more thousands have to be killed before you will be willing to fight for what you believe in? You can't make peace with tyrants.
I hope you don't mind being made a Muslim at gunpoint. You want this for our country? Or this? A lifestyle not defended by force is an endangered lifestyle. And for good reason: A lifestyle that's not worth defending by force is not a lifestyle worth living.
I'm not going to play your moral equivalency games. These are the facts: Some people are good. Some people are evil. Please get a clue and find out who's whom in this war.
One less US soldier is one step closer to [Rest In] Peace. This is what happens to be people who don't fight hard enough. Peaceful, isn't it?
Pacifism invites and encourages the "peace" of gas chambers and guillotines, deceit and dirty bombs, broken promises and body bags, terror and tombstones, all brought on by the enemy. War, on the other hand, eliminates the broods of evildoers so that peace can ensue.
You cannot reason with irrational, deceitful dictators. Talking with a cheating enemy (and what enemy isn't?) just allows it to thrive and grow. If you get stung by a bee, you don't try to talk it out of stinging you again. You break out the big can of insecticide and kill the pest! Peace cannot begin until the source of the attack is neutralized or eliminated. Therefore, war is usually the most effective tool for peace.
You just keep that hippie attitude. I can't wait to see the look on your face when this happens to your town. Next time, it may be nuclear or worse. Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon are terrorist nations and all have nuclear capabilities. China has us in the crosshairs too. On the next attack, you'll be lucky to be as fortunate as this poor guy.

Re:OT: your sigThe photo shows Palestinians in Lebanon celebrating the WTC attack. As you mentioned, at least two of them are wearing clothing of US sports teams. No, I can't indepedently vouch for where the pictures were actually taken but the scenery and disregard for weapon safety are certainly consistent with Lebanon.
I haven't figured out how to explain that in 120 characters, including tags and URL. I'd forget about the whole thing except I think this picture is the single most interesting item in all the news coverage. None of the experts holding forth on "Why they hate us!" has said anything that begins to describe the love/hate mentality in this photo.
So, if you'd like to thoroughly argue anti-americanism into the ground, please proceed to do so, but kindly use reasonable arguments, in context, with citations.
I'm reading the responses to my post and wondering if "Any arguments you make about either being good, bad, or anything in between, is dogshit." deserves a rebuttal and you're complaining about the absence of citations in my sig!?!
