It's not my kind of art, and I'm not sure I can say I like any of it, but the human "participants largely preferred the machine-created artworks to those made by humans... subjects found the images generated by the machine intentional, visually structured, communicative, and inspiring, with similar, or even higher levels, compared to actual human art."

The Internet Archive's HQ is in an old church, and they keep (some of) their servers in the main room (eg).

You know that famous painting, "The Scream"? Can you guess why the sky is orange? It's because of the 1883 Krakatoa eruption. Here are more paintings from that time". We might end up with an orange-tinted atmosphere, and the constant "sulfur" smell everywhere. Their idea is that injecting SO2 will chemically convert into SO4. It will also convert into H2SO4, more commonly known as "acid rain". It can also cause ozone depletion, which is one of the reasons it "can't stop" if we start.

It's an apocalyptic idea, and has an insane amount of unmitigated risks. It's an "end-game strategy" that will irreversibly alter our entire planet, and will be the ultimate Anthropocene Epoch event; this will be our Chicxulub.

Google "Yale University had posted online 170,000 Library of Congress photographs taken in the United States from 1935 to 1945.", and you'll get links to pages that have some of the photos. For example, this page has some good photos.

In that web page, I'm struck the most by the picture whose caption is "Farm machinery buried in drifting soil ...". Wow, look at that sand! It looks like they're at the beach.

And in the bottom picture "Bed on the porch, Newport, Oklahoma ..." - look at how the corner and edges of the house are held up by bricks and rocks. I guess the soil that used to support that part of the house blew away.

How in the world did those people survive?
