Linux Handwriting Recognition

Now we can move from carpal-tunnel to writers cramp. " Now I'm curious, what matters more to people, handwriting or voice recognition? -
Creative & Corel To Team For More Linux Audio/Video
Dark Paladin writes "The Adrenaline Vault is reporting that Creative Labs and Corel are joining forces to create more Linux audio/visual options. Future items include webcameras and the Creative Nomad, a .mp3 player, to have drivers available for Linux. " -
To the Desktop
Alyssa Jenkins sent us a link to a zdnet article about Open Source and the Desktop. It's a fairly standard little open source article with an ESR quote as well as some mention of the new AbiSource stuff. All aimed at getting Linux to move from a Server OS to a mainstream desktop OS. -
Free Solaris for Developers
Dax Kelson wrote in to tell us about a porting package from Sun for Solaris x86. Apparently you can get free CDs that include Solaris 2.6 x86 and lots of other goodies that you programmer types will enjoy. Check it out here.
