you missed the whole idea of licensing
So what if for example Microsoft gave you for free all development tools, you made some new ICQ and at the end of the day it will appear that you got no rights whatsoever to distribute your work???
The whole point of licenses in my view is to clarify what will happen when, to secure developer in this case, to ensure that hard work will be rewarded (in either money, fame or even both).
Just think, you can download anything pirated, but without rights, clearly written down you got nothing but to be doomed to stuck with all that software on your computer, trying not to show anyone that you've got it, fearing legal action.
Most importantly, since APSL is not just license for one or two products, but instead it's intended to become a COMMON BASE for many programs, it's important as hell to make it legally bug-free.
Errors in it will doom whole bunch of develpers, few of whom can protect themselves with highly paid lawyers in case if APSL didn't clarify something right.

the Geek's gadget is a wallet full of _money_.
or a gold corporate credit card with no limit.
that's the GADGET all those CEO's enjoy, not some other tech toys they buy.
Unfortunatly it looks like all of us here miss that ultimate gadget :(((

Sony VAIO F180... can't you pay all in cash NOW?
The specs sound awesome. And the price is not too high for such a brand as Sony (IMHO).
Can't you buy it paying all the sum and get the tou home? If you can, why then you complaining about their credit policy? If you do not have money to pay up frond price, then I am afraid you can't do much with their credit policies.
Not that I support them, I think it's stupid to buy anything in credit, and that's my perception after being manager in the credit department of one of the banks.

Unedited footage is !cool where lots of spec.eff.
Just to note,
some or even many scenes in SciFi movies with lots and lots of special effects do require an actor to be filmed in front of totally white background to enable easier special effects.
So what do you expect to see in unedited PM? All you may get is rough plot and dialogs. While that might sound cool (sound, not look!) for some, it is not for me.
I agree with those who say that knowing the plot in advanve will ruin all fun and coolness of one of true Masters such as Lucas.
p.s. I wish subject line allowed more words to type in.
