Re:Prime suspects
The military has the engines.
Private companies (no direct access) may want to manufacture something similar.
Even if we image that to be true, your thinking is that it is not possible for contractors and various engineers to get access to the military bases, maybe even have an office there, where they could both examine the engines and have access to the personnel trained to maintain them - including disassembly - for a bit of help? Besides, even if they drove there, Israel is not a big country.

Re:PNAC from top to bottom
The difference between Islamic fundamentalists and Christian fundamentalists is the Islamic ones are content to control their own people. The Christians however feel it their 'duty' to take over the whole world.
If you read the PLO charter, you'd actually see that many Islamic fundamentalists want to control not only their own people, but the entire middle east, and would like nothing more than to wipe out any trace of the Jews from the earth, and anyone associated with them.
Making an "Islam" and "Christian" distinction is hardly enough, beings that what many people consider "Christianity" today is simply another form of legalism, much like Islam; where man decides that it's his job to conquer the world for their own cause, when at least the Bible is pretty clear that God is going to do that himself. When mankind assumes God's role, radical actions typically follow, whether it be blowing up busses on the West Bank, or abortion clinics here at home.
John Ashcroft summed up the biggest difference between Islam and true Christianity nicely when he said "In Islam, people send their sons to die for God, while in Christianity, God sends his son to die for us" (or something to that effect).
Anyway, if the US continues down this path, we will see a lot more terrorism in the years to come. I hope for the innocent among us that the terrorists targets their attacks a little better. No points for guessing the best target.
You miss the entire point of terrorism. They aren't targetting citizens because they're lousy shots. They are targetting them deliberately because they know they'll get the very reaction that they just got out of you. "MY GOD WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE IF WE FIGHT FORCE WITH FORCE!!!". Terrorism is designed to create fear, and out of fear frequently comes weakness.
The whole idea behind space combat seems a little far-fetched (in terms of time), but then again, if we don't do it, someone else will. Remember the huge advantage that Germany had when they took ocean combat to a new plane (U-Boats)? While our dominance in recent years has been a result of our superior air power. Being able to attack from a position that others cannot reach is a tremendous advantage, and we should be at least considering this, as there is little doubt that other nations are as well.

Read the article
This is a tactical defensive weapon for use on a battlefield, not strategic defense. This is a mobile system meant to protect against small rockets like Katyusha class weapons. To understand why Israel is involved, you only have to look at the map on this page.
They would also be useful in defending targets against rocket attacks like the ones that have occurred in Iraq. -
Re:Why, exactly, the *fear* of China? But I've never heard about civilized nation such as China doing the same.
Terrorism against civilians? In the 20th Century?
- The PLO/PNA, which controls areas near/in Israel?
- China's Cultural Revolution (up to 100 million dead) - a war against everything.
- Hitler's attacks on London and Leningrad?

Re:Rumsfeld pictures...
How does this work? If it was not a country then how could it contain Jordan? What was it - a f**king continent?
This was the original delineation based on the Sykes-Picot agreement whereby France and the UK were determining what the partitioned remains of the Ottoman Empire would look like. This is European history. Surely you're aware of it, if even a dumb American like me knows about it.
This is all a rather pointless argument as Isreal was not a state 60 years ago but no-one in the west would argue that it should not exist now.
Actually Hamas makes this very argument.
However, there was British Palestine which was a defined territory in which the Palestinians lived.
Right, of which a section was used to create the state of Israel. In fact, this was inherently accepted by the then leader Palestine/Transjordan, the Emir Hussein.
Your argument is like arguing that Zimbabwe or Ghana have no right to exist as nations because they weren't proper independant countries 60 years ago.
No, it isn't. The Palestinians have 'lost' whatever land they had in Palestine either through sale (the majority of it), war (each Arab conflict with Israel has result in Israeli land gains) or fleeing under false preconceptions (that the Arab countries would fight a war and win the land back).
Israel has constantly sought to improve the lot of Palestinians, building power generation, introducing modern farming, etc.
Interesting that most Americans have the same misconceptions about Arafat - his charter includes provision for an Isreali state and he agreed to the Oslo accord that included an Isreali state.
Bull. Look at points one and two if you don't believe me. If we Americans are coming away with this notion, it's because THAT'S WHAT THE PALESTINIANS ARE SAYING.
The Isrealis then broke the Oslo accord by continuing to build settlements. Interestingly Sharon has stated on several occasions that there will never be a Palestine but I don't see you criticising him for that.
Ehud Barak tried to withdraw forces which resulted in an increase in violence. The subsequent loss of faith in the government, coupled with Arafat's refusal to agree to the partitioning of Israel/Palestine resulted in Sharon's election.
This is similar to Schroeder being re-elected on an anti-US platform and I don't see you criticizing him about that, do you?
And for an American to claim that the EU is not interested in peace in the middle East is a joke - who do you think tried to keep negotiations going between Isreal and Palestine whilst being shat on by Bush?
Well, I'll make more claims. The UK and France spent far more time figuring out how to get more out of the Middle East than in trying to create any kind of stability in the region.
Currently, Russia and France and Germany make more in arms sales than in other sales to Palestine, Syria and Iran.
Why do you think there have been over 70 resolutions condemning Israel by the UN but NO resolutions condemning Palestinian terrorism?
Do you think there might be peace of there were no violence for more than two weeks? Well, that was one of the Oslo accords and guess what, it was the Palestinians that broke it.
You know for a Euro you sure don't know shit about history. Or current events.
Maybe you get off your high horse, come to American and get an education. Eh, fucktard? -
Re:Not just in Israel
The french public should do something about this. We need to advocate
our european brethren about the dangers of the arabs and maslims.
If I was a french citizen, I would worry about the increasin immigration
of arabs, specially north africans and lebanesse to my country.
I urge the french youth to keep this in mind, and never excuse the islamic
invasion of main land europe.
Israel has fallen in their hands, and it is just about time before the egyptian,
syrian, lebanesse, jordanian, iraqi and palestian forces combined, attack
the few of us there and doom us to extinction.
The europeans still have the upper hand in their home lands, so I urge them
to fight this, and be extra cautios about the so called "arab europeans".
You know them; they speak the native tongue just as well as you, they are
naturalized citizens on paper only. In their heart, they are the same dirty
arabs as those in arabia, and are only here to act as "sleeping" cells, awaiting
their moment to strike!
See how the Israelis are coping with them, and learn from them. You might also
donate a dollar or two, and help them fight the front WAR. -
Re:Muslims firebomb UK Holiday Resort
Those fucking mohammedians and palestinians. I swear they
are after the demise of western civilization. They will come
to us one by one, and try to break us.
First it was America and September 11th, now UK, then what? they
will take over Europe and continue terrorizing the US and infiltrate
its borders?
I really suggest we put an stop to this. Everyone should do something
about it. And oh yeah, let's not forget our brothers in Israel, for they
are suffering under the constant Islamo-racist terrorism.
Pledge your support for civilization and human dignity, and say NO to
the islamic invation of the west, NOW.
