    Agreed. It's funny how the Democrats call what conservative citizens are doing as "Astroturfing" yet 2 democrat groups (One is run by Obama) are spending a great deal of cash to influence public opinion. Hypocrisy is an amazing thing....

    Do you have to be an antisemite to disagree with the politics of Israel?

    Unfortunately, that's what it comes down to: as the excuse is it's some "hate crime" to disagree with Zionism, as Zionism "is the state of Israel" (or whatever excuse to keep this 1000 year war alive).

    But it's not surprising that Hamas would endorse Obama. Obama's religion (by which I mean his denomination of Protestant Christianity) is notoriously antisemitic. No, not his pastor, this is completely unrelated to that, believe it or not.

    You can find more via Google, but since Obama's religion goes by the extremely generic name "United Church of Christ" (and is frequently called the UCC) you need to check to make sure that article is actually referring to the UCC and not some other religion.

    Again, this has absolutely nothing to do with Wright, the antisemitism comes from the leadership of the denomination itself by consensus. It's the entire religion, so Obama can't just "denounce Wright" and be done with it. The only way he could distance himself from it would be to leave the religion itself.

    To comment on your first link - If the protesters were throwing things at the police, then it can probably legitimately be called a riot. The police, by necessity, have a little more latitude during a riot it is their job to disperse the crowed to prevent damage The problem with this attitude is that the police frequently have paid agents known as Agents Provocateurs

    These are people who pretend to be part of the targeted group and commit acts of violence and incite others to commit acts of violence in order to justify the violent police responce to follow.

    Even if all that fails, the police can still lie and say that they were defending themselves, as the National Guard did at Kent State. They shot and killed four students, claiming that someone fired on them, when the order "Right here! Get Set! Point! Fire!" was recorded on an audiotape.

    All of this makes it that much more important that the events be recorded so everyone can see the truth of the matter.
