Re:We assume that...
1) Retired generals don't count as official military spokesmen.
They do if they're being paid as spokesman or being handed a list of what they're supposed to say by the Pentagon. read all about it.
2) No idea what this is referring to. It's sufficiently vague as to be meaningless.
3) That was a military propaganda operation executed as part of a war -- it was not done to effect anything in the US
Are you telling me this image wasn't widely reported in the US? There's little question it was staged by the army, the only question would be who the target audience was.
4).Lynch's propaganda was formulated by the administration. The military merely executed their orders.
5) The Tillman propaganda was formulated by the administration. The military merely executed their orders.Last I checked, US military personnel were expected to refuse to execute illegal orders if doing so would not endanger their life (e.g. if the president ordered a soldier to summarily execute a US citizen, the soldier is not supposed to follow that order.) Engaging in psyops in the US is illegal under 10 USC 167, ergo the military should not have carried out those orders.

Leaves me with more questions than answers.
1. What IS the definitive story on how possible it is to make cellular phone calls from an airplane in flight, over 10,000 feet? There's a wealth of information from various sources all presenting their sides to the "argument", but one thing I see over and over again is that from an engineering or technical position it is not really possible. Does anyone have conflicted anecdotal evidence?

article: http://lecanadian.com/2010/10/18/911-cell-phone-calls-from-airplane-not-possible-at-the-time-says-reseachers/
article: http://911review.org/brad.com/sept11_cell-phones/engineer_tech.html2. What IS the definitive story on how much of a problem cell phones are to the flight deck? It seems likely that common phones cause ticking and buzzing over radio networks, I hear it all the time. And it's highly likely that many pilots have sensitive hearing and can't stand having to hear noise when it's fairly important that they have a clear line for several hours of having vinyl bagels on their head. And it seems just as likely that cell phones would interfere with the workings of autopilot and other really highly technical matters that I know next to nothing about. But if they do so, I think it's a really valid question to ask, why haven't they been banned outright for the last twenty five years? Doesn't it sort of obviate the lack of a threat that they are allowed on-board?

Re:Have you considered the possibility...
As always you don't fail to disappoint. You debunk my stats (even the money?), while providing nothing to debunk them with. I call bullshit on your entire post. Please provide references. While I realize that proving an opinion like your can be a daunting task for anyone, thats what the big kids do. Also, the Red cross as an agenda pushing site? You are a delight ! Those fuckers at the Red Cross!! Nobody trusts them! Historically The Red CRoss have been way more untrustworthy than the US military I would DEFINITELY believe the army's numbers over the Crosses!
Here is a link to some info about the Red Cross so perhaps you may consider learning about the folks who you just trashed
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_cross
I won't even deal with you where you imply that any act covering the printing press covers the internet, its simply to ridiculous to dignify with a forml response3 people have been charged, not just Manning.
Lsstly. here is a lik to where Daniel Ellsberg compares the penatgon papers to wikileaks

Here is a transcript of an interview with the attoney general in which... you guessed it!

And In case you didn't know the AG is kinda a high ranking civil servant. So, now that I have provided evidence that ALL (not some) of the people involved have said its a solid comparison... its seems as though the absence of both facts and research have in way impeded you from forming strong opinions. Well played.
I await your responses to my previous questions

Re:More proof
Neither one of them would front he kind of lies made by either the NYT or the POTUS.
IAEA on the NYT "Pravda":
http://www.iaea.org/NewsCenter/MediaAdvisory/2009/MA200919.htmlThis is careful language couched in diplomatic terms, that translates into a denunciation of "Bullshit!"
Obama at G20? He completely warped the facts and shadow-boxed an agenda. The anti nuke talk has no concrete actions behind it, and is intended only to portray the nuclear states as "anti-nuclear" so they can maintain their monopoly under the appearance of moral high-ground, as they plan destruction for Iran.

MOSSAD (Israels Secret Service) Liquidates 310 Iraqi Scientists
Mathaba.net
10-31-4More than 310 Iraqi scientists are thought to have perished at the hands of Israeli secret agents in Iraq since fall of Baghdad to US troops in April 2003, a seminar has found.
The Iraqi ambassador in Cairo, Ahmad al-Iraqi, accused Israel of sending to Iraq immediately after the US invasion a commando unit charged with the killing of Iraqi scientists.
Israel has played a prominent role in liquidating Iraqi scientists. The campaign is part of a Zionist plan to kill Arab and Muslim scientists working in applied research which Israel sees as threatening its interests, al-Iraqi said.

Re:Depends on your kind of Buddhism
Seems to me that you're just as likely to achieve enlightenment looking at porn as any other way. In the west we tend to think of Buddists as being somehow peaceful, because that nice Mr. Dalai Lama is so, well, nice. When it comes right down to it though Buddism is just as expoitative as any other religious cult. Just because lots of people believe something don't make it so. http://www.buddhistchannel.tv/index.php?id=52,1731,0,0,1,0 http://www.mathaba.net/0_index.shtml?x=559110 The above links are just a couple of cases of people being a**holes. What fairy tales they profess to believe in makes no odds.

Al-Fayed/Hamilton
This is almost as good as the Mohammed Al-Fayed VS Neil Hamilton libel case we had here (.uk) a few years ago. General opinion seemed to be "Shame they can't both lose".
That time it was Al-Fayed, who had an interesting past (and the worst decorated shop in central London), even before accusing MI6 and the Royal family of murdering his son (which, oddly enough, cost Harrods one of their royal warrants), and being sued for libel by Neil Hamilton, after Al-Fayed claimed he took bribes to ask questions in Parliment.
Hamilton lost and had to pay a big settlement before going to prison. Al-Fayed won, but I don't think telling a court that he bribed MPs was particularly helpful in his endless quest for British citizenship
So no-one really won

Re:Let's lose the FUD, peopleNot only is it secure, it reads your mail for you...
Lose the FUD? Just because we paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't really out to get us!
Hey, aren't these the people who put backdoors into other peoples encryption systems.... http://www.mathaba.net/data/sis/nsa-sabotage.html
Lose the FUD? The only thing NSA linux is good for is to inspect what they did to secure it and contemplate borrowing some of the ideas.
If there is one thing the old
.za taught me is the only thing you can trust a spook to be is untrustworthy and vicious in equal measure.
