Voting is so last millennium
It is too bad Metascore is still under development. A sophisticated system like that would be so superior to a simple vote.
Note: they need developers, if anyone is willing/able to help.

Any open source project
They could dive into an open source project. They are always a mess and a challenge to even figure out what is going on. Sounds like the perfect real-world intro to the world of programming.
Metascore could use some help from some bright kids.
:)Or really, absolutely any open source project would do, since there is always something to which anyone can contribute.

From what I can tell, Metascore is an attempt by mathematicians to take over the government. In fact, every government.

open projects, closed governance?
Open projects should have open source governance.
FWIW, the software is being developed right now. (SF says they just kicked off this month.)

Why not use both?
Is it just me, or wouldn't it make even more sense to use both? It's like asking which would you choose to make a room brighter, the floor lamp or the overhead light? My guess is that both lights together would produce the most brightness.
I think that's the principle behind Metascore (though it seems vague at the moment).
