Re:Whatever
If you believe there's only one God as all those religions do then it seems like that is true by definition.
On the other hand Jews, Christians and Muslims believe in Satan too, so it's possible all the nasty bits in the Old Testament, and Quran came from him. And given that the majority of what goes on in them is absolutely stomach churning, it sort of makes you wonder.
I mean if you do believe in God and Satan, how do you know that some of the more obviously evil bits in religious books didn't come from him impersonating God? It's something the guy who wrote Prophet of Doom came up with respect to the Quran, but it seems like it could apply to most of the Old Testament too. -

FUCK ISLAM! -
Re:Funky
Those links from a millennium or so ago really tell us so much about modern Islam(!) I'm no historian, but that just sounds like the usual tribal squabbling that was probably going on more or less everywhere at the time. I suspect the only reason we heard about this one is that it became part of the history of a major world religion...
They're from when Muhammad was founding Islam. Muhammad is basically infallible if you're a Muslim and he said things like this
http://www.prophetofdoom.net/Islamic_Quotes_Jews.I slam
As far as I can see, he attacked small Jewish communities, killed all the men and took the women and children as slaves, mostly because they were a vulnerable minority. He used his religion to justify his actions, and that put a nasty genocidal anti semitism inside Islam.
Saying it's from a long time ago completely misses the point that these things were done by the founder of the religion. Imagine what Christianity would be like if Jesus had done this to some minority which still exists, and said the sort of things I quoted about it.
And it's not just me that thinks it's important. Hezbollah names it's rockets Khaibar 1 after the Battle of Khaibar. Muhammad raved especially about Jews right up to his deathbed, telling his followers to kill them all. In a very real sense Hezbollah are better Muslims, but worse human beings, than the moderates.
And that's the problem with religion in a nutshell. Some warlord a thousand years ago sins, and those sins become holy because he writes the holy books. Then for ever after, so long as you persecute the same minority he did, you're holy too. In the absence of religion, anyone can see that there's something deeply wrong with the way Muhammad treated Safiyya or her father or how the ancient Israelites treated other tribes, but with the moral distorting lens of religion it becomes a model which billions of people are taught to emulate. -
Re:Here we go again...
Muslims are freaking savages.
Consider that a topic heading. Read more. Seriously, there is a lot of information here.
And as for Mohammad... -
Re:Here we go again...
Bullshit. A lot of imams and others have spoken out against it. It just doesn't get the same airplay. You do a Google News search and you'll see many articles pointing out a recent instance. But many Muslim organizations in the US and elsewhere have spoken out against it.
As a muslim, I call bullshit
:)The imams speaking out against terrorism have very little ground to stand on. While they may cite shariah regarding war needing to be fought according to certain rules, there is more than enough ahadith and ayat in the Quran to support violence. You can't read garbage like this and come away feeling all warm and fuzzy.
Off hand I know of two American muslims who took a stance against violence in Islam pre-911, and they were assisinated. (The murders are still bragged about to this day with all sorts of "all thanks to Allah".) It's scarey stuff.
While I have no more tolerance for xians and their illogical take on religion, if you can suffer through the propoganda, The online book "Prophet of Doom" quite nicely captures the essence of Islam. Available here:

You tell the truth friend. We need to wake up before it's too late. The Islamofascists are the new Nazis.... Are we the new Neville Chamberlains?

Re:US Army
I agree with you on all accounts but one. The war shouldn't be against terror, it should be against islam. The world will never be free of fear and terror until that evil calling itself a religion is elminated.
Prophet Of Doom, find out the truth about islam and its terrorist founder.

Re:Solve the world's problems
Dude, the Islamic faith is not a violent religion
Dude, the islamic faith is a evil religion. The very roots of islam are founded in evil. Take a look at the 3 largest relgions in the world, Christanity, Buddism, and islam. Which one was founded by a pedophilic, murdering thief?
Despite all the problems Christanity has today, Chirst never murdered anyone, never raped a child, and never stole anything from anyone. Christ preached of love and understanding. Where Muhammad murdered those who didn't agree with him. Terrorised and stole from people at will. He lied to just about everyone and pulled most of the shit he wrote in the qur'an out of his ass on the spot.
In thier own holy book it states that muhammad married and raped Aisha, a child of 9. He married her when she was 6 and raped her when she was 9. That is in thier own word.
Here follow this link and educate yourself Prophet of Doom. If that don't convence you the faster we find a better source of energy and get these savages back to riding camels and herding goats, nothing will.
