So you have 100Gbit, you're pulling the data out of what? Thin air? And what about latency, how far are you pulling the data? It doesn't compute.
And 6Gbit isn't the limit, there are other options.

OCZ was hardly the first to do direct flash-PCIe storage(though some of their earlier products were just a disk controller and SSD on the same card, they have native ones now). They do have the advantage of being one of the vendors of PCIe-SSDs whose prices are remotely accessible, and who are available through enthusiast channels.

Most of the other players are basically in the business of making people's Big Serious Expensive databases run faster, and their prices and "if you are serious, please call our sales department" distribution style. You probably don't want to know what one of these or these cost, and you won't find them at newegg...

Unless the unit is from Texas Memory Systems -- completely flash based storage. Note in the FAQ where scheduled down time is required to replace a faulty Flash drive.

That's odd. SSDs are far more reliable than hard drives. So either you did something very wrong, or they were defective and I hope you had them replaced since they would be under warranty. Did they tell you why it failed? Even large-scale MMOs run on SSDs and don't have reliability problems.

Put a Netapp filer in front of something like this, of course the filer would definitely be the limiting factor for IOPS in such a configuration as even the biggest ones aren't rated for near a million IOPS.
