Or if you prefer something more highbrow, All The Bard's Spleens.

Lego cases don't impress me...Now what does impress me is this project - to build an actual digital computer out of lego...

Building blocks of usability -- LEGOThe idea that something can't be both easy-to-use and powerful is ridiculous. Take LEGO for example.
- LEGO is easy to use. It simply snaps together.A five year old kid (or even a 30 year old one) can learn to use it in 5 minutes.
- LEGO is powerful. You can build robots,Computer cases, and even Computers themselves with it.

Re:cradle to cradle and remanufacturing
You are correct, I believe that computers be remanufacturable. However I don't believe that we can do this with today's technology coming from Intel, So I volunteer these open source plans for building a computer with reusable materials.

Scanner returns an ID number -- privacy concerns
I threw together a little quick and dirty script to decode the scanner output. But while I was doing it I noticed that the scanner sends back three things: the barcode, a code type (i.e. UPC, ISBN, etc.), and a long number that's always the same. Is this some sort of ID or serial number? Does anyone else find that creepy?
