Re:Laughable
You mean, like this window?
That's from the current Java release trying to load Oracle's Java detection applet. And before you ask, I'm required to have Java installed for work because one of our apps relies on an applet.

Re:No Way!!
And it's worth noting that if I go to Google.com, type in "cancer" and click "I'm Feeling Lucky," the page that comes up is
... the American Cancer Society. Not Google Health. If I do the same for "sore throat" I get MedicineNet.com. If I do it for "AAPL" I get Yahoo Finance (no joke, try it)."I'm Feeling Lucky" ? People actually use that?
For a normal search, or a search as you type search, the first link goes to Google Health.

Re:IE's find dialog
*Clicks Edit, Find in an IE8 window.*
Really? What I see doesn't look like a 1990s find dialog...

Re:Big Battle
They must be different, because the US version definitely returns "Why are Mac's so expensive?" as its first link, as of when I checked 10 seconds ago.
In fact, have a screenshot!

Re:Dock/Taskbar design
Whatever memory amount you use, in Linux server I fire up FTP server, then in OSX I type Command-K in Finder, say ftp://host.com and it connects without problems. Then I do in Gnome on Linux. Same result. Then I do the same with OpenSolaris -- still works. When I do the same with windows, it asks for password, then waits 5 minutes, then says "timeout" and blows away. After few times repeat, I finally getting my directory with files/folders listed, but can not get any. Etc etc etc etc. Then it pissed me off, I got filezilla and got into my FTP.
The only question is: WTF?..
My linux box's ProFTPD server and Windows 7 lets me log into it just fine.
Here are screenshots of it:
Typing in the ftp address
Login screen
My home directoryGranted, I don't have anonymous FTP set up on that server. You will notice, though, that the login screen has an anonymous option on it.
I usually just use FileZilla, because FileZilla does SFTP.

Re:At least they don't clash
You lie! Windows NEVER blue screens by default any more...
...
...wait for it...
...
...because XP and newer now automatically restart by default where they used to blue screen.

Re:Long Answer?
I have my Windows key set to do that.
By power button, I meant the one you use to turn the computer on. By default (at least on Desktops), it's set to "Shut down." if you press it while Windows is running. -
Re:Apple Update Sucks!
Apple Update offers updates to both QuickTime and iTunes + QuickTime. As someone who only has Safari installed, I can show you that it offers both.
