jafager writes "Tom Clancy's computer-entertainment division has a new game out, ruthless.com. Very cool, IMHO, kind of an abstract-boardgame version of the software business. One of the scenarios is entitled "Take Down EvilSoft", featuring a massive, entrenched monopoly ruled by a pallid fellow named Caine (interesting symbology there). One of the options you have is to release your products' source code -- they stop bringing in cash, but product quality gets multiplied by ten! "
