Re:The answer is simple, really...
I searched for an image of the X505. It has the same form factor, but... the keyboard is at the bottom of the base, there isn't a trackpad, it isn't silver with a black keyboard, etc. It looks different. It might be in the same form factor, but it will not be confused with a Macbook Air.
X505 comparison pic
Most Ultrabooks look like a Macbook Air. The X505 does not. Most have the same silver color, the same (typically black) chicklet keyboard, the same wedge shape, the same oversized trackpad, the same....

Re:credibility
Actually, according to the survey, RIM and Android owners aren't much better, but the slashdot title should be marked flamebait in an obvious attempt to make iPhone owners look stupid.
FTFA
"Coincidentally, a suspiciously large percentage of Android and BlackBerry owners may be suffering from the same delusion. BlackBerry owners (24%) are almost as confused as iPhone owners since RIM doesn’t currently offer a 4G phone. At least some Android owners could be answering correctly as Android 4G phones like the HTC Evo 4G or Samsung Infuse 4G have been available for some time. If nothing else this large number of “misinformed” phone owners serves to emphasize the fact that consumers are quite confused about 4G."
But it's clear Android and RIM are SOL:
"The responses to this question also show Android owners as a loyal group with only 18% saying they would buy or consider buying a new iPhone, 4G or no 4G. On the other hand, BlackBerry owners look like potential defectors with 41% saying they’ll buy a new iPhone, or consider buying one with or without 4G."
Ouch. 18% of Android users defecting to iPhone is considered "loyal"? I guess it is considering 41% of RIM users say they're moving to iPhones. -

Re:Wait a minute..
I defy you to find the death grip spot on my Motorola W365. It has crap reception no matter how you hold it, or don't.
You're funny... and it's appreciated... but I found it. It's right at the base of your external antenna. see page 58 of the manual
No one seems to acknowledge that the available cell signal in a particular area is really the most important detail when making calls from a cell phone. We got Carl in the city with his whatever, and he loves his phone, always has five bars... must be the phone. Then we got Jimmy out in the sticks with his smartphone, which he hates, because he always has one bar or none... and blames his phone.
All cell phones are basically identical, the phone parts anyway,, and the thing that makes them work well, or suck immensely, is the availability of the network, not the phone or the antenna.

good resource page
Not only will the IT dept be busy but personal computers will also have problems. I agree it's a little over-hyped and the easiest thing for a Windows user might be to just disable the automatic DST adjustment and force an update. Retrevo.com put together a good resource page for PC info and CE gear. http://www.retrevo.com/setyourclock
