    I'm surprised there hasn't been more mention of the Samsung I300 - what seems to be the best Palm/phone combo currently available (with color to boot). As was mentioned above, here is the link to the Sprint I300 page (Verizon coverage is coming soon). Downsides include the traditionally short battery life (although 5hrs with the extended battery isn't terrible), no expandibility slot, and a steep $500 price tag. However, it does weigh only 6oz, which doesn't seem bad for a color Palm. If they would have added a CompactFlash slot and MP3 player, this would have been a killer device.

    Just wait a month and get samsung's I300 palm phone, then you won't need to sync your phone & pda because they'll be the same, and since it's palm, it will sync with linux. Kyocera also has a palm phone which is dual mode (the samsung is PCS only).

    We do (well, we will Real Soon Now). Check out the Samsung I300.
    Why are we still milking the mono LCD market for them?
    Because with mono screens our devices are smaller, cheaper, and our batteries last longer. By all means, if you want a big, heavy, expensive device with a short battery life, ignore Palm and go for a PocketPC.

    Some that I've come across:

    - Sensory Science MP3 players/recorders with built-in microphones
    - Samsung YP-E32 and E64
    - Olympus and other manufacturers also have Digital Voice Recorders that can download to PCs (albeit with unspecified file formats)

    There are bound to be more offerings out there, but they all do seem a bit vague on the recording format.

    All new monitors have both analog/DVI inputs.

    False.

    Samsung's newest top-of-the-line monitor doesn't have DVI inputs, just plain old 15 pin.
