Who really needs iTunes, anyway?
There are many music download and music access services available. Just go elsewhere. Like so many "firsts" on the Net - e.g. eBay, Yahoo, etc. - iTunes seems old in the tooth. Couple that with egregious DRM policies and attempts to choke interoperability. Why bother. I like Apple products, but who really needs iTunes for music. Other than as a software platform for playback, I could care less about the iTunes music store. Try these: http://www.amazon.com/MP3-Music-Download/b?ie=UTF8&node=163856011 http://pandora.com/ http://www.emusic.com/ http://www.slacker.com/ http://www.napster.com/ http://music.myspace.com/ www.youtube.com http://www.rhapsody.com/home.html http://www.walmart.com/music http://www.last.fm/ http://social.zune.net/music/ http://www.seeqpod.com/

SeeqPod is pretty cool for the iphone/ipod. -
Re:Math music
I think F34nor's description is a little on the lyrical side. The music isn't quite fractal, but it definitely jumps around between time signatures a fair bit. If you like Slint, you may want to check out some stuff by Breadwinner or Rodan too.

Internet Radio
When you can stream a seemingly unlimited supply of internet radio straight to most connected devices, like the iPhone for one...
satellite radio seems almost quaint. How long will it be before "internet radio" puts satellite radio totally out of business?
BTW, for iPhone and iPod touch users, here's a good place to start:

If you just want a radio gadget, there seem to be a few good ones available now:
http://www.google.com/search?client=googlet&q=portable%20internet%20radio
Of course with these you can't play "kill your battery" using them over a 3G network... but then there's always the next thing.. -
Re:How Do I Submit My Tracks?music lovers who don't want to pay for their hobbies, Baidu is simply irreplaceable.
Hellooooooo Seeqpod. -
Re:Sshhh don't tell anybody about thisUnlimited free music with links to purchase it if you want. 100% legal. 100% major labels. Tons of obscure stuff too. Or use http://www.seeqpod.com/ which is much nicer and also (questionably) legal.

SeeqPod is a lot more useful than many people know
And how many will learn about the mobile version (that lets you directly access the files rather than locking you into a Flash jail) from this very comment? That sure is an easier way to get mp3s than entering a long special search into Google. Use it while you can, that's my advice.

Slightly a different approach..
I use http://www.seeqpod.com/ to find a lot of music. It's a search engine for music files with a flash player built-in. Really cool... it wouldn't surprise me to see google buy these guys in the future. It's totally legal, and you can find just about anything you want. Ben
