Celestia
Celestia is a free OpenGL space simulator for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X . . . It's different than XEphem in that it's not an observing tool, but a graphical tour of outer space. In Celestia you can travel to the planets of our solar system, their moons, over 100,000 stars from the HIPPARCOS catalog, and all of known extrasolar planets. And best of all, Celestia is open source, so if something is missing, you can add it yourself.

Re:clarification - orbital eccentricity
Actually, the newly discovered planet orbiting in the star HD 28185's habitable zone has a fairly low eccentricity of 0.06. For reference, the eccentricity of Earth's and Mars' orbits are 0.0016 and 0.093, respectively. See this diagram and table for more details.
