Re:Consider the progression
Indeed, a much broader net than you seem to think. For this to be at all effective you would need to cut off not only "unfriendly" parts of the world, but also anyone who doesn't go along with your plan and cut themselves off from places you consider "unfriendly".
I think Trump's plan, and am almost certain that Cruz's plan is to ignite World War 3. Because as you note, "cutting off" whatever nations we decide need to be cut off is not throwing a swich in the majick Internet input house at the entrance to each country, we would have to completely destroy each country's cummunication infrastructure.
Oh, and satellites https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
Trump wouldn't care as long as his ass was safe http://www.thesmokinggun.com/d...
But from what I know about far right evangelical conservatives, Cruz would be getting exactly what he wants. As a dominionist, End times are an essential part of their religion

And they consider Ted to be a "King" who will go to war to bring the money of those they consider wicked, and give it to.............
themselves!!! Gawd, you just can't make this stuff up. Here's a fun video to watch.

Cases where women are denied drugs, in the example antibiotics, simply because the prescriptions have been issued by a women's clinic which performed abortions.
Funding for treatment, education and condoms gets denied because religious nutcases are in charge and isn't granted unless the education becomes "education" and only mentions abstinance only and the birth control gets removed entirely.
So yes. people do get denied treatment for religous "moral reasons" because they fit the wrong profile or got their prescriptions from the wrong clinic. It most certainly is bullshit.
Sheep who let the local priest think for them do tend to hate whores and gays and do everything they can to make life harded for them. -
Re:Christian fundamentalists? Not bloody likely
Perhaps you should read Liars for Jesus. Here's some excerpts about the current revisionism trying to portray our founding fathers as devoted Christians -- you know, the same people who in congress signed a treaty declaring that America was *not* a Christian nation (the Treaty of Tripoli). Consider it a "historical Snopes".
Read. You'll learn something. -

Re:Exactly
Churches would fold up because of lack of interest.
This is already happening, but not in the way that you think. Let me explain.
In the US, the fastest-growing "churches" are the so-called evangelical and fundamentalist sects of Christianity. Yeah, that's right, the super-right-wing, self-contradicting groups are growing the fastest. Meanwhile, many of the mainline denominations are declining or stagnating. Even worse, there are non-profit corporations run by these folks with the sole purpose of taking over moderate denominations.
I guess fire and brimstone trumps actually following the Gospels... -
Left Behind: The Video Game
It's not exactly the Bible but it's based on an interpretation of Revelation:
Left Behind: Eternal Forces.
You are a fighter with the "Tribulation Force" in New York City during the Antichrist's reign. You have a mission: convert heathen Gothamites. If you can't convert 'em, kill 'em all and let Jeebus sort 'em out. Oh yeah, you can play as an agent of the Antichrist if you want to.
This is not a joke. This is real. And it will be out in time for Xmas. -
Re:Meh.
Would we run into this same problem if someone created a "violent" video game that was based on the bible?
We'll find out when Left Behind: Eternal Forces is released next Christmas. They promise to allow players to "Conduct physical & spiritual warfare : using the power of prayer to strengthen your troops in combat and wield modern military weaponry throughout the game world."
Their site also boasts that they'll likely receive an "E" or "T" rating. Of course the game will allow them to brutally murder or force the conversion of non-believers and heretics. Basically they're getting their own GTA, only it's a lot scarier because they actually believe and look forward to it.
