Blu-Ray DVDs Hit 100 GB
Xesdeeni writes "According to The Register and MacWorld, TDK has unveiled a Blu-Ray DVD with four layers that will hold a whopping 100 GB of data. This is shortly after the previously reported HD-DVD announced three-layer HD-DVD that would hold a "mere" 45 GB. Bar Association Likely to Oppose UCITA
GroundBounce writes: "Computerworld is reporting that the American Bar Association is likely to vote to oppose UCITA unless it is significantly altered in a pro-consumer manner. In support of his argument, he points to cases (including Linux) where people have made money on unprotected IP, and the fact that copying can't really be prevented anyway. He also proposes removing copyright protection from Windows98 and Office as a way of dealing with the MS monopoly. " -

GroundBounce writes "If this is a joke it's a damn good one. There is now a support site for User Friendly. There isn't much info there; however, there is a string of emails from the last few days posted. There are also some support images for posting on web sites. " -
"The Ultimate Argument Against Linux"
GroundBounce writes "osOpinion has posted an article which basically refutes all of the FUD against Linux but then contends that the FUD itself may be enough to keep it from succeeding. I don't agree, but it's interesting reading anyway. "
