Re:No autopilot?
I can't believe that they couldn't allow even one of those inflatable ones because of the weight...
Probably the sexual harassment issue. You can't pay just anybody to keep in inflated.

I jumped the shark on this one. After using a Timbuk2 laptop sleeve for years, I had to abandon it when I started using a Dell Inspiron 8600. Sadly, nobody I saw made a good bag, so I decided to make my own. I did it with some 1/2" neoprene puchased from Canal Rubber in NYC. I cut pieces of neoprene to make a box, super-glued it together, then (ahem) sewed up a canvas sleeve to keep it from falling apart -- the neoprene isn't very abrasion-resistant. I use a separate small cordura bag to carry the charger, mouse, and whisker antenna for wireless. Works great. I ride a motorcycle to work when the weather's nice, and the whole shebang fits neatly into an Ortlieb Cross-Air pack. Um, this solution probably isn't for everybody, though.

Here's a way I'm working on to get your iPod to have a dual Sony headphone jack AND that plastick-y yellow color!

The Ultimate Watergun
I can't believe no one has mentioned John young's Ultmiate watergun Aside from being a pretty ridiculous hack (imagine 100+ PSI from a backpack mounted FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOFY), he gives it out free to people witha good reason. He gave it to me and my friends for a college party (the "Beach Party") and it was the collest thing I have ever played with...I am working on building my own version. This guy truly has the ultimate water gun.

The Ultimate Water GunThere is, of course, the Ultimate Water Gun page, featuring a portable unit that can reach 75 feet and more, with a helmut mounted nozzle, etc.
It is built out of a converted fire extnguisher. You pressurize it to the spec of the canister, often in the range of 100 PSI.
Do Not Over Pressurize!
How to build instructions at the page.
