Time for a Race
Race Qwerty vs Dvorak vs Steno at Type Racer.
Clearly some people type much faster than a measly 120 WPM (as TFA indicated) using a qwerty layout.

Short-form competitive typing
If you'd like to improve some of your typing skills, you could always try TypeRacer

Online typing game (Typeracer)
Typeracer is an online typing game that can also report your WPM. It doesn't need anything more than a modernish web browser and you can compete against other people. It's no good for learning the fingerings but it's fine if you just need practice typing text.

Try typeracer.com
I'm surprised I haven't seen any references to http://play.typeracer.com/. It's pretty cool, you can play alone or race other live players.
In a nutshell, if you want to get faster, challenge yourself and practice, practice, practice.

Re:Fanbois, have you actually tried one? What's fast?
I don't type all that fast, but I am rarely held up my typing speed.
I just scored 62 wpm here:
http://play.typeracer.com/
I don't think that it enormously fast (looking at the high scores...), but it is fast enough for the vast majority of the work I do. Well, I've run a few races. The lowest speed I've gotten in any of the races was 96wpm, and at the moment I'm in the top 20 with 105wpm.
This is on an IBM Model M keyboard. I think they are plenty fast. -
