    Along this line, does anybody know of a better way to get iPhone-compatible h264 streams than the Apple Quicktime plugin? I'd like to up the bit rate/quality of my movies but I have yet to find a solution that works.

    Well, you may be pro-dam, but the hard-line enviromentalists are against dams for ecosystem reasons. From a politican's standpoint, if you don't have their support, there's little point supporting building them because they'll still attack you come election time for destroying the enviroment.

    That being said, I'm glad got the chance to visit the Three Gorges before they destroy them.

    This thing is big. Really big.

    Final Cut Pro doesn't seem to run very well on that Athlon. ;-)

    I'm not going to go out on a limb and claim Macs blow PC's out of the water in terms of preformance, but AE's not very well optimized for OSX. The "gap" this guy is trying to prove is about as inane as Steve's "G4's are up to (X amount) times as fast" speeches.

    The G4's are pretty decent machines. At the end of the day, they're a powerful tool to get the job done. Of course, no PC troll is going to admit that.

    Besides, shake is better. :-P
