Argon ZarkDon't forget Argon Zark.
A lot of the interactive stuff has been modified to run as Flash now, but this guy did some pretty amazing stuff with animated images, javascript and other crazy tricks long before Flash made it easy.

Two Words
Argon Zark
You can't have any discussion of web-comics without including the father of all Internet comics. -
Argon Zark
I used to love Argon Zark. Nobody talks about that great comic artistry, but then again, I don't think the artist updates the site like he used to.

Re:Some more good comics
I should mention Argon Zark here.
The good news: Charley Parker is a kick-ass artist, they don't look like comics at all- visually stunning.
The bad news: New comics are downright rare, but he's been at it since 1995, so you can enjoy his accumulated work.

Voice response is tricky
Don't forget the "poisonous dribbling persistent" in Argon Zark. Just wonderful in an emergency to have the thing hear you wrong.
Still, the sight of these things floating around on video clips on the 6pm news will cause a lot of people to try to figure out how to do a version in gravity. The coolness factor of this thing would be hard to overestimate. -
Been there Done That
Wow, on-line comics. Been there, done that over three years ago. I seriously doubt even a paper legend could approach the slashdotness of Zark.
