Plans For New FreeBSD Installer And Package Format

chenwah writes: "Jordan K. Hubbard, the big head honcho fella over at FreeBSD, recently posted a 5000 word document to the freebsd hackers mailing list. He discusses the FreeBSD installation program 'sysinstall' and the current package format (tarballs) and the need for something better. Hopefully this could get the ball rolling on something bigger..."
