Books On The History Of The Free Software Movement?

gcb asks: "I'm looking for sources about the history of the Free Software Movement, Linux, Open Source and even the creation of the Internet. Books, articles, persons to contact. I know I should contact RMS and ESR and read Open Sources, but I want to get into the details here. what books have been written? Who are the other players and visionaries?"

    Is worth reading. It was my first exposure to RMS. I cried. I'm still proud of him for what he's done.

    In the book, RMS and the GNU manifest is the last chapter. Now, 15 years later, that seems like history. But the history has a history. And it's worth reading.

    Besides reading open sources, wich I thought was a great book, there is a lot of information and links at opensource.org and tuxedo.org.
    OSDN has some information as well as /.
    I know these are not books but I hope they help. They have a lot of information.
