Tucows BSD Is Back
howardjp writes "Today, Feb. 7, Tucows announced they would bring back the BSD section. Apparently a number of users sent mail encouraging the Tucows/BSD group and with the help of both Wasabi Systems and BSDi, it will be back."
I'm an American, and I spell it Zealot.
Since when did news agencies like giving out good news? Unfortunately, negative news generates more ad revenue.
kinda glad to see it's back. hopefully, this time they will learn from their mistakes. but did anyone else notice that they still have a negative tone? sounds like, "well, we don't trust you guys yet, but if you behave..."
This really needs to be mentioned on the front page, or at the least in a slashback so people know what is going on. Supporting *BSD will further Open Source along, people really should know that *BSD has not been dropped by Tucows.
Tucows: Hey BSD people, we've created a site especially for people like you who use the BSD variety of Linux, with lots of GPL'd shareware we know you'll like! Do you want .rpms or .deb packages, or self extracting dot-eck-seas?
BSD community: What the $%&@?!?!! Bl$#%!?!! #^@#!!! GPL ?&%@#! Linux! *snort* *!@$!!! here first! *more expletives*
Tucows: (Takes out onion for upset-and-crying effect) Well, sod you all then. We're just going to take our site down.
BSD community: *snort* And don't let the door hit your donkey on the way out! (or words to that affect)
Tucows: (thinking) Wait a moment. We just took the BSD site down to punish the BSD people who really pissed us off. But they actually didn't care.
Tucows: Ok, now you've really got us annoyed, we're going to bring the BSD site back on line! Take that, snotty BSD people! BSD community: Oh no, here we go again...
