Creating KParts components

I work in it all the time so maybe I just don't notice, but when reading other people's C++ code, it becomes painfully obvious that it is way too complicated and difficult to read.
Are there any other compiled Object Oriented Hybrid languages out there with better syntax?

I was wondering if K-Parts was the KDE answer to GNOME's bonobo, so I decided to do a google search. I found an article, also on the IBM site (but which does not require registration), which mentions CORBA, so I assume it is. The "advantages vs. disadvantages" section seems very interesting.

I've always wanted to do KParts !
A bit strange name for a girl though.
I've not tried it yet to comment wether it looks better. Its C with the OO features of SmallTalk thrown, which makes it sound appealing to me, in the sense its C and has credibile OO features.
