TrollTech Contest Results Announced

IceFox writes: "TrollTech announced the winners of the Qtopia/Zaurus contest this morning on the businesswire. theKompany won the grand prize (10K, laptop, big flat tv etc) with its jabber application. The winners of the new laptop are: Taskman, Froot, Powercord, smssuite, Korganizer, with honorable mention to KinkattaLite. I think Puzz-le should have won. Check out many Zaurus applications here."

Though there aren't as many applications as you'd get for the Palm, for example, they really are way more powerful. But I couldn't see a single calendar application, let alone one that will sync with outlook. And that's a serious omission, that would stop my company from looking at it for development. If only Mozilla, or even netscape back in the day, could have worked with some free calendar server, it would have brought up some serious choices against exchange.

Zaurus ships with a calendar, and Intellisync Windows client for syncing to Outlook. If you meant a *better* calendar, well, I agree completely (theKompany does have one, I believe). But it does indeed sync to Outlook right out of the box. The trick is to use the Intellisync software, not the QTopia Desktop (much like Palm's solution).

Does this organization have anything to do with THE WIPO TROLL!? I heard he was going to come back, but his message seems to have disappeared. He mentioned Captain Taco keeping him locked in his basement all this time (5 months?). I wonder if El Taco locked him away again. Will we ever have our WIPO Troll back?
