    I've seen this news story floating around for the past several days... sadly, nobody links back to the site with the original, high-resolution images (suitable for, say, printing out or making into a desktop background).

    The biggest picture in that article was the goddamn ABSOLUT ad. I wonder if you can see that with the hubble deep field.

      What are the chances of the number being so round? [referring to the title of "New Pictures Reveal 100,000 Galaxies"]

      Silly question for two reasons:
      1. Do you think there could possibly be 100,000.1 galaxies?!?
      2. You are making the assumption that the value given is base-10.
