SSH Clients for Palm OS 5?
oosid asks: "I have recently upgraded my Sony Clie T-616 to an NX-60 with the built in keyboard, larger screen, and a WI-FI card. I have been searching for a good terminal emulator/ssh client and have found nothing worthy. Am I totally missing something, or is there really nothing out there? It would be awesome to be able to take advantage of the excellent screen and keyboard in my favorite wireless coffee shop."

It's a kind of shitty question.
One suspects it's more of an advert
There are places where the networks are not touching, and there are places where they are-Boeing's Lori Gunter

And, yeah, I think the post looks like an ad too.
Let's see, you've got a color display (which probably isn't viewable unless you have the backlight on), a 200 mhz processor, and a fairly powerful microwave transceiver. You're going to run down that battery awfully fast! Perhaps there's no SSH client because this is just the wrong platform for it.
Oh lemme see - three seconds of googling results in this:

As you obviously haven't heard of Google, you should check it out.
Try freewarepalm.com, which is generally a good place for free (beer) software.
I found this link through it:
http://netpage.em.com.br/mmand/ptelnet.htm
It's a terminal emulator and not really an ssh client but maybe it will help.

Am I alone in feeling that lately slashdot has turned into a personalized search engine. I feel like I'm visiting that old miningco search engine that let you ask real questions and people would look it up for you.
What the frell is wrong with the editors and the submitters. Do some freakin research!

I used to have a Nokia 9210 which had a Mocha telnet client that worked great for remote maintenance. I could do simple maintenance stuff whil on holiday.
I now have a Clie TG50 which is a great little tool with keyboard, color, bluetooth and all. I am very disappointed by the SSH software available too.
Mocha telnet for the Palm just crashes and Topgun SSH, well... The terminal emulator just sucks. Try to use vi on it!
I would have expected the popularity of the Palm platform to lead to a lot of good Ssh apps, but this doesn't seem to be the case so far.
Yeah, I know I should write one myself...
X.
If you want a mini computer, get a Zaurus. It has a real OS, real memory management, and under active open source development. debian-arm packages install just fine. With OpenZaurus, you get the latest ssh, media player, etc apps, on a color, backlit screen, etc. etc. Sounds like you have the wrong tool - how are you going to type?
I want to delete my account but Slashdot doesn't allow it.
I hear palmos 5.2 will address this, but it's pushing me towards the sharp zaurus units even though I currently have a clie nx60

When I first got my Tungsten T I wanted a good telnet/SSH app but couldn't find one. All I could find was MochaTelnet, ptelnet, and TGSSH, all of which either were incompatible with OS5, weren't compatible with SSH2, or just had such ugly fonts that I couldn't see what I was doing.
Then I found this program:
Online
It supports telnet and SSH. It supports file download with X-Modem, Y-Modem to VFS. And most important, it supports HIRES, so you can do a full 80x24 terminal mode and stil read it. On a fast enough connection (say GPRS), using VIM is totally usable.
It's definitely worth the $30.
